I’ve had my panniers for 10 years, they’re still immaculate and they’re now on my current GSA (identical to yours). I like the panniers, they’re easy to use because they are top loading and if you ever change the bike you’ll never be stuck with the panniers, they sell very easy and hold their value well. Soft luggage looks good when new, but on tour when it’s pissing it down and they’re soaked and covered in road grime, faffing around with wet buckles and straps isn’t for me. Just my findings.

I’d say that’s a pretty good summary!

I’ve owned one of these for the past 4 years. I’ve owned a 1200 and 2 1150’s. Great machines took it into central London yesterday and that 400 you started on would have been a better choice 😂. Bikeshed done along with the ace cafe two up a good first warm day of the year. Looking forward to more days like that. Ride safe buddy.

I’ve also just bought the gsa trophy. Had a gsa exclusive for 4 years. I’d buy a top box so you can lock a helmet(s) away, wouldn’t bother with the panniers, just buy soft bags. The Nav 6 is rubbish, find another solution for a nav.

I believe the auto ride height is just for the preload, adjusts for if you have a pillion or luggage 😊

Good to know! Thanks! Got a fair bit to learn on this bike! I was trying to find what the auto function actually did in the manual

Smiles per gallon or miles?

I think both with a GS. Not as many as an MT10 but… it’s pretty good!

No you heard right, It’s technically a company bike so, will go back after 5 months and I will have to swap it.
