Hey I have a few tips for more specifically Maltese puppy's but it could 100% work for any other pup! She mentioned in the video that he peed on the pee pad the first 3 times and then no longer used it and started peeing on the floor. My maltese puppy did the exact same. We put it down as him being a picky pup but he wouldn't use it if too much of his scent was on it. So we went through lots and lots of pee pads the first few weeks but obviously it was fine when we potty trained him to go outside. I know the stigma is very high of Maltese being "Impossible" to house break but myself and lots of other people find that to be false and/or just very rare. My pup learned to pee outside fully at around 13 weeks. You have to just have a lot of patience and time. Another thing she mentioned was that he was acting almost afraid of his bowl and won't eat from it. My pup was the exact same! He wouldn't drink or eat from a stainless steel bowl. And still won't I think it has something to do with the fact that it is reflective but my Olly just won't tolerate it! We have a big stainless steel bowl out in the back garden from our previous big dog and he rather try to dig the water out the bowl but will not drink it he even barks at it sometimes. So thats my experience with the two problems that she mentioned. Hope I helped people who were struggling with any of these problems.

This really makes me cry🥺 I had a Maltese for a few months and everything was going fine but then one night the police showed up and they said a neighbour complained about the barking but I mean we were still training him. The police said that we had to rehome him. It was so sad and I miss him so much. He’s now 6 years old I think. His name was Pistachio btw🥺

When my mother gotten a cute little Bichon Frisée puppy almost 13 years ago. When I first met him and even fell in loved with him. He was so cute and tiny. Now both of my parents are gone. The dog is living with my sister and my brother in-law. He is such a cute sweetie for a little dog. He also lives with a couple cats,too. I do missed playing with him.

Watch out for symptoms of a liver shunt. My Maltese puppy died from it 2 weeks ago😥 She was only 6 months old. Apparently, it's a disease inherited from the parents and you CANNOT notice it when they're young (~9 weeks). Maltese dogs are among the dog breeds that have a high risk of being born with it. Many of the symptoms can be mistaken for normal dog behaviour , f.e. digging on the sofa or bed. Watch out for "normal"/"lethargic" day- cycles! My puppy often had stomach/digestive issues and I blamed myself for making her portions too big and tried to just be more careful. I never thought there could be a lethal disease behind it. She died in my arms when my uncle was talking to the vet in the phone (it was late evening). 😭

Bruh I just got my maltese puppy today ;3 We just recently lost our Maltese named Duncan 4 or 5 months ago. He was my first pet and the best dog ever. The entire neighborhood knew him well. They've all told us this new puppy has some big shoes to fill. I swear he was just like a person. He had such a big personality. I miss him dearly. This new puppy is named Bentley. He's so sweet and social and the people we got him from were so kind.
