Setters are undeniably the most gorgeous, affectionate, and loyal dogs. Not only are they absolutely beautiful, but their personality; it's amazing. Although they are extremely high energy, their affectionate, loving, and loyal personality makes it worth it. Just got an Irish setter puppy a couple of months ago, and he's absolutely gorgeous!

I recommend to get a divider for her cage it helps with crate and potty training also I would take her out every 3 to 4 hours at night cus shes a puppy and she can't control her bladder very well

Love these dogs. I have 2 of them. They stop looking like puppies really quicky, so it won't be long until you get a big cuddle buddy. They mature very slowly, so they will act like puppies even at age 3. It's also very amusing to see them run when they're young as they still think they are still a small puppy when they are a fully grown dog. Tips: -Give them plenty of space to run. They love to hunt. One of mine loves chasing birds and flies while the other loves chasing Dragonflies -Be prepared for a muddy carpet if you have one -They respond better with positive reinforcement. Yelling at them isn't that effect as they have selective hearing and don't understand why you're yelling. But you still must say No calmly once in awhile to make them understand they can't do certain things -They love tennis balls and chasing bubbles -Don't have a rodent pet too. They are a hunting breed and will chase it down relentlessly and are very stubborn. I learned that the hard way. Cats should be okay, but I wouldn't get a small kitten when he gets older.

I've had 3 setter puppies, the rest are rescues. You also need a slicker brush. The disposable pads are expensive and my females were stubborn. A medical supply store with the washable hospital bed pads will save you money in the long run. OdoBan is there best cleaner for floors etc ever. If she walks on it while wet it won't hurt. Takes all stink out of pads without bleach. I've had all my Setters on pro plan. Casey Lu is 19 years old and not ready to stop any time soon.

My golden retriever puppy loves to get under my legs. Hes almost like a cat with how he loves to brush up against your legs and when you pet him on his back he does what cats do when they sort of arch their back! It’s so funny!

I was surprised with a golden retriever puppy for my birthday! We already had a beagle but I had been wanting another dog so my parents surprised me! His name is Harry and now he is almost 9 months old! We got him when he was 12 weeks so he was a bit older but he still acts like a young puppy! Good luck with your new baby! Oh and by the way. This really makes me cry🥺 I had a puppyfor a few months and everything was going fine but then one night the police showed up and they said a neighbour complained about the barking but I mean we were still training him. The police said that we had to rehome him. It was so sad and I miss him so much. He’s now 6 years old I think. His name was Pistachio btw🥺
