Thanks for posting this, Chris. It was good to watch Jordan teach and I appreciated the examples both good and bad. Reshowing the mistakes as Jordan went back over them was particularly effective.

Great tips! Only one thing: it’s FARTHER not FURTHER. Far is measurable distance, further is used to mean ‘more.’

Jordan, I needed these insights during my Tuesday game! I repeatedly made mistakes on the backhand side with my footwork and cross-court reply (bad decision-making). Thank YOU Chris, Will, and Jordan for generously sharing actionable instruction!

I think that Jordan is a great coach but find it hard to stay tuned in due to his long windedness. I really, really wish that he were more short clear and concise.

You’re looking for something that probably doesn’t exist. It’s either he cuts it down and leaves out crucial info or he says everything that’s relevant. I know which one I want.

Chris great new article. Wanted to please ask you to do one about the New Gherkin pickleball paddles with the new tech using silicone on the edge of the paddles. Just bought the Phantom taking advantage of the $ 50 off sale. Wanted the expert opinion of the Head Paddle Avenger reviewer. Thank you and saludos from Panama.

It’s a shot where the paddle contacts the ball imediately after it bounces from the court and before the ball rises to its potential height.

I do not find him to be a good instructor. He really did not explain why to hit to middle, did not use good examples showing what happens when you do and what happens when you do not. I would not pay to have him teach me.

Would you like an explanation or are you just stating your objection to the teaching style?
@darinrussell
@darinrussell 2 ай бұрын
He’s explained why you go middle whenever you receive a pressure dink 50 times in other videos. Short middle is always your safety net when you are losing a dinking rally ie your opponent is dictating - it resets the rally and your opponent cannot attack-speedup.
