vernon seraile Hey Vernon, this frame is about 8 inches or 20 cm on each side. Problem is that you might want a smaller frame if you're using and ethos from what I see it'squite small. You can find equations online to calculate lift and when you optimize the equation add an extra 15% for safety.

+gadgetman 404 yes you can go bigger. It's the voltage that's limited. I think the original batteries are 1000 mAh at 20C. This means they can discharge at 20 amps tops. Therefore don't worry about mAh to much you can buy larger batteries no problem just don't get to heavy batteries remember max 100 gramms.

don't know really for me I prefer the reliability of the fewest moving parts possible but I can imagine folding frames have an advantage when it comes to transportation and storage

sorry to hear that. well here I'm flying with 2000 mAh. The circuit board probably can't take much more intensity.
