Can you just use the heating pad instead of using basking spot or it have to be both?

@@thatrandomcat3479 I’ve only fed him mealworms so far but I plan on switching it up eventually. And unfortunately I didn’t hold him enough as a baby so you’re probably asking the wrong person about that 😅

@@thatrandomcat3479 they can be fed mealworms but only as an occasional snack. I never had a pictus gecko but they're like leopard geckos in some ways. Maybe you can try to handle it daily for 20 minutes after like 4 days in its new terrarium.

@@thatrandomcat3479 These geckos can be kept on mealworms, but it's always good practice to occasionally switch between feeders. You'll be completely fine with mealworms though. Just remember to add some calcium and vitamins every two or three feedings.
