Productivity - its significance in the recipe for growth remains unmatched.
We are well aware of the challenges.
Reasons for Pakistan’s boom & bust cycles would surely identify low Productivity as one of the culprits of the inconsistent growth path.

Every government know what is Right and what is wrong for Country. Main thing is proper Check and balance of powers. Democracy creates its own path…..I am from India, we are much diverse society. Hence our politics is very complex. Our political parties gets votes on basis of caste and language, not on economic agenda. Despite so many differences, only our stable democracy resolved our most problems. Intelligence of our people is same as our Brothers from Pakistan. Your politicians are answerable to Establishment. Our politicians are also very corrupt but they are answerable to their voters. Hence, they are bound to perform. Only fear of loosing election makes political parties to address problems of voters. Talent has zero value in democracy.🙏

Pakistan is not headed sri lanka way. Sri lanka has lot more exports. Their Trade deficit is only $5bn and service deficit is around $2bn and they have tourism receipt of $3bn and remittance of $2bn and other inflows of $1bn. so the net deficit of sri lanka is only $1bn per year or just 1.5% of GDP. The problem with sri lanka was they borrowed money for infrastructure like ports but the returns never materialized and it will never will. Sri lanka has learnt its mistake and will recover soon. But pakistan needs 30bn every year which is 10% of GDP. Pakistan is not headed sri lanka way, they are headed first Lebanon way and then Syrian way. Pakistan is another Lebanon and then Syria in the making. Pakistan must study what went wrong in Lebanon and look for Syria for more insights

1. Pakistan should open trade with India 2. Pakistan should allow Indian Logistics to move from India to Afghanistan and Central Asia and Collect Toll Taxes 3. Pakistan should respect its minorities ( Hindu, Sikh etc. ) and i can promise that Indian Government will treat Pakistan better which will be financially rewarding for Pakistan.

“What saves us is efficiency”, says the fictional character in Conrad’s “Heart of Darkness.” How to expect miracles in a demoralized land of idlers-a historical fact? If a savage in a land of servitude is exposed to the call of Civilization, he throws his arms up in the air and deliver a howl-“philosophical hysteria of men of margin.” How to both contain and manage ill-prepared and ill-equipped men for the Information Age economy remains the central question of the world.
