Yeah, imagine living in a terraced house in northern England trying to charge your electric car in the busy street? Totally impractical and unaffordable for poor or working class people. EVs are second cars for virtue-signalling, middle class or wealthy people with detached houses and warmed garages, subsidised by ordinary tax payers. It’s the polar opposite of environmentally friendly.

The drive to take this country to net zero, stopping all oil based products is going to have such a negative impact on peoples lives especially the poorer in society. I genuinely think people don't understand how bad its going to be, and they will push back. I personally think when that happens so you will see a very different side to this guy and people just like him. He's one of those people who think democracy is great until they don't get their way then it's a bad populist, far right blah, blah, blah process.

The car industry has not said it can't sell electric cars. Sales of electric cars are slightly down due to cost but as Vince said they will get cheaper. Also electric cars are not the only solution. When you strip an argument of all nuance and detail to prop up your view have you really achieved anything except cheering from Those that already agree with you. That is 'populist' media.

And we need too build more power stations, which eco nutjobs keep getting blocked... As to the daily 50% of the energy being green a few weeks ago they say it was 87% lol but when you look at the actual data the green energy provides between 3-78% of our daily needs depending on the WEATHER....

The average man/woman can bearly afford their bills let alone buying an EV for £18,000 - £30,000 plus paying insurance and not to mention if your lucky to have the space outside your house to charge it.
