For my last camping trip, to Apache Lake, Arizona, I wanted to try baked brie in the pieiron. Not wanting to let the dough go to waste, I also tried pudgie pie spanakopita, and dessert rolls filled with dates and walnuts, toasted over fire.
For breakfast, hash brown potatoes, with egg, bacon and cheese. No phyllo dough involved, but I did use the pie iron.
Lots of cooking and campfire chatter included, plus adorable greyhound cameos.
