Hello everyone! Thanks for tuning in. Today I will be showing you how I mix my paints for pearl cell, puddle pour & Dutch pour consistency. I have had a lot of requests to see how I mix my paints. This information in this video is the same as I posted on a previous video but I wanted to separate it from that video for easier reference. If you have seen that video you have seen this video. Materials I used in this demonstration:
Artist Loft Flow: White
Golden Fluids: Prussian Blue
Amsterdam: Turquoise Blue
Liquitex Gloss Medium
Behr Premium Plus Satin Enamel House Paint -White
Golden GAC 800
Flood Floetrol (US)
Base Paint:
3 parts Flood Floetrol
2 parts Artist Loft Flow White
1 part Golden GAC 800
1/2 part Liquitex Gloss Medium
2 parts Behr Satin Enamels
Water to thin- (approximately 2 parts)
Depending on the types of paint used...Other Paints:
Golden Fluids : 1/2 part paint to 6 parts PM
Amsterdam: 1 part paint to 5 parts PM, water to thin
(PM= 50% US Floetrol, 50% Golden GAC 800)
No silicone used for cells. It was all the layering of the paints that made those cool effects.
