The Gordie Howe International Bridge project is a once-in-a-generation undertaking. Not only will the project deliver much-needed transportation improvements for international travellers, it will also provide jobs and opportunities for growth to the Windsor-Detroit region and includes features that make this project truly distinctive.
The project is being delivered through a public-private partnership (P3). A public-private partnership is a long-term performance- based approach to procuring public infrastructure where the private sector assumes a major share of the risks in terms of financing and construction and ensuring effective performance of the infrastructure, from design and planning, to long-term maintenance.

Obviously the people that are choosing to downgrade the process of building a project like this have never dealt with any construction job in the world. Right now this is one of the largest construction jobs on the planet and is an amazing engineering feat and being built by some of the most talented construction people in the world. I have worked construction all my life and kind appreciate the years of planning and construction time to go into a project like this. A job well done by all!

History in the making and these clips are documneting it well. It’s disappointing but sadly not surprising today to read negative and or complaining comments. Constructive criticism fine but really people. It’s long overdue and much needed progress because of many amazingly talented, hard working people. Have some respect and appreciation.

I've built a couple of bridges, this one is rather larger than mine. Also remember Gordie Howe. I played hockey on the Mill Pond. Gordie was much more talented, a powerful force of nature on the ice. That this engineering magnificence will bear his name is beyond wonderful. Good luck to all the brave workers who will bring this to life. Thank you all, from drawing board to shoreline, thank you all.

When they build the Gordie Howe International Bridge, they are planning to build the road deck working from the towers to the bridge approaches and afterwards, they will work their way across the river.

I'm a little curious as to why the towers have not gotten taller for a few months? I've seen videos dated April thru July and they all have the towers at the point they're at in this video.
