Goldeneye, for me, is THE best Bond movie. The Craig movies to me are all phoney pretentious miserablegarbage with some short, fuglyRussian henchman masquerading as "James Bond". For me, Bond movies peaked with Licence to Kill and Goldeneye. @@betorockmetal Brosnan was 61 when this with Fallon was filmed, and would have been around 45 when the N64 game came out. If he had any vidya experience in his youth it could have only been maybe playing arcade donkey kong or pacman (not sure if those were common in UK in the 70's tho). But he's had his likeness used for 4 games and even did the voice acting for another. Even if I was a boomer too old to have grown up gaming, if I was the face of the main character in so many games (and one as iconic as goldeney) I'd feel compelled to at least play them to see what they're like and most likely play them all the time.

This comments section is why kids born after 3D gaming was invented fucking suck. They can't appreciate anything. At least when I grew up it was through 2D and 3D to where we are today. I'm a PC gamer who plays things at insane "gwafix" today, but I can still go back and appreciate me some megaman and sonic etc from the 2D era, and goldeneye and banjo/resident evil etc from the 3D era. Kids now can't play anything unless it gives them an hour of plot exposition via cutscenes and conveniently placed chest high walls to regain health behind.

Air time is precious. His show caters to a wide audience, many of whom would have been bored or angry if Jimmy spent 5 minutes playing some video game, even if it WAS Bond, the granddaddy of console shooters, and he was playing against the actual (don't argue with me here) James Bond. Extending this bit would have been too risky.

Shape Work Studios It's more a comment about how unfunny I find him. Of course something on one of the free channels will be among the most watched programs during a timeslot when more people are home. His writers seem to be doing a good job, but his execution of comedy is just so dreadfully bad that I find it hard to imagine why anyone would watch just because "it's Jimmy Fallon". Only reason I was here is because "it's Goldeneye" His Schwarzenegger skit was horrible, hit Dwayne Johnson was undercooked and his Brian Williams doesn't actually involve him in any way (ironic because those are the best bits). Morgan Freeman on helium made me chuckle, though. Opinions and rear-ends, noam sayin'?

All of us would get together and play goldeneye, super smash brothers, and other multiplayer classics all night long. Of course we would get pizza and other snacks too. Growing up does indeed suck. When your a kid it's so easy to be pleased. Now a days I don't even know what fun is. It's like it disappeared at some point in my life. I can't really remember when but I think it was some time between 20 to 23 years old.

Yea I mean for me, Goldeneye is a classic and will always be one of my most memorable games, but I pretty much see it as the guinea pig game for all following shooters. Like even Perfect Dark 64 was a more polished game than Goldeneye. The following Bond game on the 64 (The World is not Enough, I think? It had a blue cartridge) was much better than Goldeneye too. But again, none of this takes away from the fact that Goldeneye was immensely fun as well.
