Keely Shaye Smith's had many struggles with her weight and this has led to criticism and concern, but also mocked by the media and trolls alike. Yet, she has worked to lose weight and since then she’s been turning heads. All this is due to the tremendous support from her husband Pierce Brosnan. But how did the two of them meet?
Pierce Brosnan and Keely Smith first met in 1994, at a beach party in Mexico. Pierce Brosnan was immediately drawn to Keely Smith's beauty and her warm personality. Keely Smith, on the other hand, was impressed by Pierce Brosnan's charm and sense of humor. Plus, he was about to become James Bond! They started dating shortly after and have been together ever since.
Keely Smith is a former journalist and television presenter and has been by Pierce Brosnan's side through his rise to fame. They got married in 2001, in an intimate ceremony in Ireland, and have two children together, Dylan and Paris.
Despite being in the public eye, Pierce Brosnan and Keely Smith have managed to keep their relationship strong and private. They have been spotted together at several red-carpet events, but prefer to keep their personal lives away from the media. They are often seen enjoying their time together on vacations and have been spotted walking hand in hand on beaches and strolling through cities.
However, some of these beach pictures were snapped by the paps and this had shown how much weight she had gained. This led to cruel mocking but now Keely has had the last laugh since she lost weight.

Let's just remind everyone that Pierce met his first wife when she already has 2 children from a previous marriage. He adopted them and treat them as his own, and he took care of them after their mother died. He is faithful and kind and a good father, such a class act.

Always had great respect for Mr. Brosnan. Now even more suspect for Keely Shaye Smith. My wife struggled with her weight after having two sons. Later found out she had diabetes. A year later breast cancer and removal of one breast. I lost Janet to breast cancer a year later. She was 36 years old. Simply put. People that truly love each never give up.

True and honest love of a partner accepts them whether they are a size 2 or a size 22. Pierce has been very vocal on protecting Keely from the trolls who think they know everything when they know absolutely nothing. I was married to a man like Pierce, who accepted me for the woman that I am. Unfortunately, I lost him in 2015 to cancer. Something Pierce and I have in common. My hat's off to this wonderful man who knows what true love is and has had that twice in his lifetime. It is to be treasured and for those that think they have the right to put her down, remember that karma always comes back to bite you in the ass when you are bullying and mean to others. Keely has made more than an effort to get her weight under control and it shows. Pierce doesn't love her any less and probably loves her even more regardless of the weight loss. Good for him and good for her.

Your reply caught my eye immediately. Your husband sounds like an amazing man, and I’m so sorry cancer took him. Pierce is charming and suave. With his British accent and charm, he cleverly protects his wife. Nasty journalists have their questions graciously parroted back in such a polite manner, and they have no idea he just insulted them. Smart man. Your post is giving me hope that one day I will find “the one.” It takes a lot of work, but men today want a “newer, sleeker” model. I’m 52, have a few pounds to lose…nothing big. And I have MS. I want to know before I die, what it feels like to have a man love me for me, not what I can DO for him. Have a loving, kind, friendly partnership. My last husband abused me in every way. In my state, it takes years to finally obtain a divorce (16 months and counting). I won’t allow anymore of my life to be stolen by human waste. Never again. I’ve had the same journey as Keely though I can’t imagine doing it in the public eye. It’s only the beginning of the journey. I wish her all the best luck. It’s not just about weight,it’s about health. Women in our age group are struggling not only with weight but menopause and it’s even harder when people are constantly criticising. It’s even harder for Gen X ladies in the spotlight when younger ones are constantly praised for their youth (which is a natural attribute) whilst older women are on the whole ignored. For those of us with great men by our sides, it’s not so bad but for these other ladies who’re losing their youth and don’t have successful relationships it must be even harder.

I think she can thank her parents for the genes, but who she has become is plain to see when you look at her and look at her kids, her husband, her mom. I read somewhere when he was asked about her weight/ gain, I think his response was something like: “My wife has had 2 children and her curves are a reflection of the beauty of motherhood…he also said he loved every curve of her body …something to that effect. Since then, I have been a huge fan. Not everyone bounces back from having children. Also, not everyone wants to be celebrity thin or subject themselves to some of these crazy diets that they go on. To me, she seems like a great wife and mom who put her family above herself which a lot of moms do and finally now that her children are nearly grown, she has decided to make changes that benefit her and she’s done it at a time that felt right to her. Pierce loves her for everything she is, the entire package, not just the wrapping. I’m glad that she is taking steps to be “healthier”, however, like Pierce, I believe she’s always been quite beautiful (outside and inside) at every size. I used to love her on “Unsolved Mysteries”! I don’t understand why it’s hard for people/ fans to understand that they married because they fell in love with each other and that it’s not a burden or hard for Pierce to love his wife and not run screaming because she put on weight 🤷🏻‍♀️ you don’t stop loving someone over artifice if what you have is real love. Also, I think she was not “huge”. I think she appeared to be bigger that she actually was because he’s so tall and thin-as well as the women of Hollywood are so thin. Either way, I hope they’re both happy and still in love ❤

It is wonderful to see where a very attractive man stick by his love-wife despite her getting some flaws, in this case a lot of weight gain. Usually that spells the end of a relationship (usually the man is embarrassed to be seen with a large woman). I hope in private he has been as supportive of her as he seemed to be in public. Wonderful relationship if so, kudos to Keely, you go girl!
