I received my card yesterday. But here is the catch. Only certain items are covered starting May 1st. The next phase doesn't happen until November. Naturally many seniors probably wear dentures now or require them. If you can decipher the jargon to understand what is covered, more power to you. You'll just have to wait until November. The biggest hurdle is finding a dentist who will be part of the program especially since the patient pays their share and the dentist submits the balance to the insurance --Sun Life. Dental services are expensive anyway. I had some implants done some years ago. I used the implants to anchor two dentures. I called my original dentist about the cost of replacing dentures. Cost with small repair to implants was $7000+. Gov.plan does not cover implants. That's OK. I also wondered if government have their own cap on cost of each procedure like provinces do for medical treatments outside your own province. Lots to find out.

Only problem with their seniors' free dental care is that most seniors have already lost most of their teeth. They couldn't even afford regular dentist appointments, mouthwash, specialized toothpastes etc. This is a joke by the ndp liberal government.
