ASMR in Andong: My new favorite place in South Korea

I recently had the opportunity to shoot a video in the beautiful place of Andong, South Korea. I spent one day there but couldn't possibly see everything. There is so much places to see that you would need several days to go everywhere and to take the time to appreciate it. For this video, I went to the Dosan Seowon Confucian Academy, Yekki Village, Seonseong Floating Trail and Menge Village. Each of these places has a unique atmosphere.
Anyway, I've tried to make this video as I usually do, adding the peaceful (?) narration afte shooting and editing the video so that I kind of visit the place again after editing the video and rediscover it. During the shooting, I did some good old ASMR tapping triggers sometimes. But I see this video more as a way to virtually spend some time in a peaceful place before maybe seeing it for real in the future :) Near the end, we made a small fire. So, you can enjoy some fire crackling sounds before going to bed. It should warm you during the cold winter!

안동은 진짜 평화롭고 좋았어요! 평일에 가서 사람이 덜 있었고... 사람이 있었을 때 찍지 않았죠 ㅎㅎㅎ 맞아요. 원래 '큰' 카메라로도 촬영했어요. 화질이 더 좋은 부분 (대부분). 밖에서 거의 안 쓰는 카메라죠... 커서. 불에 뿌린 건... 제가 마법사잖아요? ㅋㅋㅋ

A wonderful video, I just watched it at 2pm in the afternoon and nearly fell asleep countless times haha normally an insult to the creator but a compliment to your natural ability to soothe the soul (not Seoul lol). P.s. I love this style of travel ASMR, seeing beautiful areas while listening to your narration is sublime. I would enjoy seeing more of these types of videos, even in your local area.

I wonder what a worry-free world it would have been to live in Andong all those years ago. As you said, it is most beautiful & very peaceful. I feel you should try to stay there a night or two. Sometimes you need to break free from the everyday life and take a moment to relax. If you were to make another little planet video with that cool 3d camera I would love to see it. Such a wonderful place, thanks for sharing with us.

Hey Pierre, I just had an idea for a video that you could make annually at the end of the year... 도산서원! 사액서원 중 중요한 서원으로 흥선대원군이 서원 철폐를 할 때 제외된 사원 중 하나이기도 하죠 :) 굉장히 역사적으로 의미가 있는 서원인데 방문하셨다니 의미가 깊네요 희희 그리구 오늘은 굉장히 한국의 동양미, 푸근한 느낌이 잘 담겨있어서 되게 좋네요 헤헤 아 맞당.. 개인적으로 도산서원 가보고싶었는데 이렇게 대리만족 할수있어 좋네요 UvU☆ 오늘도 꿀잠자도록 할게요! 피에르님도 좋은 하루되세요 >×

혹시 역사를 공부하시나요? ㅎㅎㅎ (아마 '아니, 한국 사람이라면 이 정도 다 아는 거죠' 말씀하시겠지만 ^^) 이번에 '큰' 카메라를 가지고 밖에서 촬영하는 게 처음이라 잘 찍을 수 있을지 조금 걱정했었는데 어느 정도 상상했던 대로 찍을 수 있어서 다행이었습니다! 도산서원에 언젠가 가실 수 있었으면 좋겠네요!!

Its like a selfie stick with a 3d camera attached. You can see the stick in the shadow when its looking away from him. The stick must have a certain hue that the camera detects and erases from the image.

Eastern Asia in terms of art, architecture, philosophy is rooted in the ancient Chinese civilisation , in Japan , Korea or Vietnam, Confucius, Laozi , Daoism is also part of their culture and heritage as they imported large amounts of elements that emerged in the Chinese civilisation. Just like French, English , German or Spanish people have been printing and studying for thousand years the thoughts, writings of ancient Greek philosophers. China without or before communism had a very deep and impressive culture on many aspects.

@@Gravvvyyy i may have not been clear enough in my explanation, Japanese people are japanese, and Korean are Korean, and Chinese are Chinese, they"re neighbours, what i'm saying is that Eastern asian countries have imported a huge amount of cultural characteristics that have emerged and that have been developped inside the Chinese civilisation, although japanese, korean , chinese are totally different languages , but you will find in japanese and korean and vietnamese a huge amount of chinese vocabulary , that's just an example, but it's the same for arts, architecture, paintings, poetry , martial arts, structure of government and society, philosophy , clothes the Japanese Kimono for example is based on the old chinese clothes called Hanfu , nowadays people can't imagine how huge the impact of chinese civilisation was in the past. If you look only at modern history or recent history, especially if you look at this subject through modern history nationalism , you will not understand the impact of Chinese civilisation in Eastern Asia.
