Actress, author and Dame Joan Collins joins Piers Morgan in the studio in the lead-up to the Queen's Platinum Jubilee next week. Joan is going to be taking part as part of the Dames in Jags and will be part of the massive ceremony. She goes on to discuss how she is a massive royalist and 'loves the Queen', so it was a real honour for her to be invited. They also go on to discuss the tragic events in Uvalde, Texas and how America need to do more to prevent shootings from happening. Piers also puts the question to her 'What is a woman?' to which she responds she does not want to answer for fear of being cancelled by the trans mob. But when probed again, she simply says "me". We love you, Joan.

Well they don't make them like Joan anymore because everyone's getting rid of their identity with trans-movements, the mindless Kardashian culture, and so on. You can't be an outgoing, confident, present person if you are identity-less. You have to have a solid sense of self.

Yes. Beyond what you see with your eyes, what you hear is also age defying. I've been around a lot of older folks in my life and none of them...none....have been this sharp mentally and quick witted. I really wish my relatives had been able to capture even a fraction of that youthful vigor into their advanced years.

@E K It’s not just plastic surgery tho (although it does help), but she also just has good genes. I used to work for a plastic surgeon and trust me, there are many *many* women out there who get a boatload of surgeries and still don’t look all that good (or young). You’ve gotta have the good genes to begin with.

I mean that she herself said that she can't talk about it because of the consequences. So she talked about many different topics without feeling afraid of of consequences but didn't even want to go into one topic because of consequences. I don't talk about certain things aswell because it's a sensitive matter and I know the consequences will be too big. But if their are consequences you don't feel free to speak your mind.

ABSOLUTELY Dame Joan, I TOTALLY AGREE with you. I'm 60 years old and Television was a lot different in my day. I was not ALLOWED to watch most even then, when T.V programs were a lot cleaner. I had to read books, and go outside in the Fresh Air, and Sunshine. Even television commercials are scary. I'm amercian and I do know what DAME means. And I LOVE IT. Which is totally simplified by anti-trans pressure groups. Biology, like any science, is continuously evolving as new discoveries occur and more detailed examinations are possible. In the sixties, genes and chromosomes, later, hormones, genetic markers, then the ability to examine body and brain developent in the womb and realise it is a process not set in stone by two chromosomes at conception, but leads to a spectrum, rather than a binary distinction.

The problem with even that; is that you are delusional if you think there is a “spectrum”. There isn’t and that’s a simple fact. Even if I were to entertain your particular delusion, a spectrum still has parameters. So tell me exactly where it starts and where it ends…you can’t because you are either truly delusional or too scared to state a clear biological fact. If you say “well I can’t decide for everyone” or “that’s not for me to say because I identify as a Venus fly trap but it’s not for me to say that someone isn’t a toaster” or something of the sort then I’d take your fingers of the keyboard because I will absolutely dissect your comment and I will not stop doing so. 5:45 great point! I hate to seem typical, but as a woman who is aging now, how lovely (!) Dame Collins looks…still! Brings back warm feelings of nostalgia, and memories of being a young girl and remembering her fabulous Dynasty fashion (we had only a few channels back then, and I was too young to to experience fashion magazines, but my mother [mainly] enjoyed Dynasty and I loved her fashion!) and here I am, in my 40s and she looks almost EXACTLY as I remember her! Going to see if I can get her old 1950s B movies (they say, I’ll be the judge) I didn’t even know she made her name in Britain then…

She looks gorgeouos!! I am a 52 year old woman and I remember seeing Dame Joan Collins on soap operas in the 80's (before she was given the Dame part). I was only 15-17 years at the time. I remember thinking she wore too much make-up!! But today, I think she is an absolutely stunning woman. She has looked after herself and maintains the same look she did back then. She is all class!!

I Have Always Loved This Wonderful Lady, Dame Joan Collins. A Real Hollywood Star, in the Hollywood Style of Yesteryear, who never needed a title, which however was undoubtedly well deserved. She is a lady full of grace, style, poise, class, elegance and has a genuine love for people (and animals too). She unapologetically speaks her mind, and speaks the truth , with such common sense. Such a lovely interview, and I could watch her for hours. @@ksc743 She is extraordinary for almost 90! She's lucky with her genes of course (sister Jackie was beautiful too), Joan always had that pretty, heart shaped face which has aged well (a few subtle nips & tucks done judiciously helped maintain it), and she's always looked after what God gave her. She brought out some fab beauty books over the years, all of which I bought and studied religiously! She's a big believer in healthy eating and regular, gentle exercise, and she doesn't overdo the booze or ciggies. I recall her being almost evangelical about avocados and how good they are for your skin, due to the good oil they contain. She tries to eat half an avocado every day. I think she's very sensible - for example, she decided after she left 'Dynasty' and started getting older, it would be more flattering to have a little more weight on her. So she's approx 7lbs heavier now than in her 50s, but she's careful not to gain more than that. I think she's right - it can be very aging to be skinny when you're over 60!

@@glamdolly30 isn't she just (extraordinary)! I didn't know she'd written beauty books. I know healthy eating and exercise have always been a big part of her life. Her figure and deportment at her age certainly bears that out. So true about avo - it really is a superfood. I need to eat more of it! Carrying a little extra weight as one gets older is also great advice. I'm so glad she found Percy when she did because I think he has greatly contributed to her happiness. Joan really has made the most of her life. I can't imagine her ever "getting old"!

Oh ffs. It’s as simple as this - you may not understand how it feels to be Trans, but the bare minimum is to respect that other people have the right to be trans and stop treating it like it’s some terrible thing. If someone wants to be referred to as something that you don’t feel matches with their sex… you stop being ignorant, and you refer to them as they want to be referred. It’s not difficult.

I saw her in person in 1991 and she was still STUNNING. GREAT face. Of all the celebs I've seen in Los Angeles only she and 2 others looked just stunning - beyond just another pretty girl in your high school. LA is full of those. *yawn*. Oh who were the other 2? Jane Fonda and Farrah Fawcett!

I read that Joan Collins was named after Joan Crawford who is my favorite movie star. There’s a wonderful anecdote about a chance meeting between them in the 50s where Joan Collins was in the remake of “the Women” a film Crawford starred in first in 1939 and Collins stated that she was named after her, quite gushingly. And Crawford gave her a long look over stare like she was a bug under her stiletto shoes lol. And Collins remarked later about Crawford’s “Groucho Marx eyebrows” lmao. I love divas

One of the last truly classy women along with Queen Elizabeth. A dying breed of poised elegance & strength. You wouldn't understand unless you've met HRM, she's an absolute pillar of strength and dignity with the an unparalleled depth of character. That is a woman‼

Thank you Dame Joan for your expression of love and loyalty to our wonderful Queen. Agreed about the desensitising of young people especially young men, by enabling them to view horrendous content before they can spell! Unbelievably true, I am distraught to even think of it…..😮

Congratulations….you’re back on the air Piers! I adore this lady. She has played in so many venues in so many types over the years. I’m delighted that Joan has never gone in for those major face and body lifts. She is gorgeous because of it.

I think all the people who transitioned when underage and regret it, should sue their parents.... Only when parents see they are responsible for their kids future, will they start thinking of the kid instead of themselves..

Regret transitioning like the total of 14 people since 1972 in Holland, all but two of whom said it was either because of anti trans attitudes and discrimination or because their surgery was botched ? (The other 2 didn't give a reason.)I don't have actual numbers for other countries but surveys all show the same pattern of dominant reasons for regret. Then of course you have the attention-seekers, who appear on every talk-show going for years without changing back their name, shaving their full beard while claiming they regret transitioning female to male etc. I don't know of any country where children are allowed to transition underage.

It shows what a hypocrite she is that she claims to support trans rights yet refuses to stand up for their most basic right, to be allowed to be their true selves without vile vitriol from the hugely powerful and vociferous, yet strangely small, anti-trans and extreme feminist Christian lobby.
