yeah but people complains that such a massive ship would be so easily dissabled just taking out the bridge when it was asumed to have several other auxiliary bridges.. and plenty of crew who would not remain arms crossed as their ship plunges at their doom with no real drive or power damage.. they had to pull off many excuses to easily justify this.. as cool as it looks

I know I'm late to this but here's my two cents: The SSD had at least one auxiliary bridge that we know of, as such it was more of a combination of factors that lead to the Executors destruction. It had lost it main engines earlier in the battle and was having trouble keeping itself above the Deathstar's surface, the A Wing ramming into the bridge brought a brief interruption to navigation. With this the secondary bridge was left with having to rapidly take control and distribute orders, while it was a noticeable few seconds to restore navigation, it was enough that the Executor was already nose diving into the Deathstar.

You are forgetting the impact of the Emperor’s death on the Force. It shifted decisively toward the good side and Luke Skywalker and the Rebel Alliance. Just like Luke could not have made that one-in-a-million shot that blew up the first Death Star without the Force behind him, that A-Wing pilot could not have succeeded with his suicide run if the Force was still with the Emperor. And his star fighter was not fatally crippled at all. It was undamaged.

As to the ship crashing. This debate has been done and done to death. The horse isn't just beaten to death, it is glue by this point. Why can one ship crash such a large ship? Why is the bridge poking out of the top instead of hidden internally? How does that impact translate to the downward spiral? The best answer I have come across is that the ship has multiple control centers, the primary one is the bridge on the top, where you have actual windows that the commander can look out of (best imperial officers are too important to look at a mere sensor reading), the impact and secondary explosions that come out of the side penetrated deep enough into the ship to reach a main power line which shut down the port side thrusters, leading to a loss of control. Or, instead of a power failure, the explosion triggered an input failure. Seeing as much of the Star Wars technology is manual and analog despite the more advanced technologies beside them I can easily see a main control line being severed or charged by the explosion triggering increased thrust to the starboard engines. i.stack.imgur.com/ZuWJj.jpg It's not an Executor, but it gives you an idea of the internal layout, how the explosion may travel down a shaft and rupture a conduit. The loss of control happen quickly, so the secondary control centers could not correct quick enough. The ship is _huge_ and as you see in the clip it move fast, compared to its size. The window for applying reverse thrust was tiny, and even then on a ship with such massive rear engines I doubt the reverse thrust at 100% would have been enough to stop the impact. TL;DR the loss of control and impact is absurd, since it happened from a tiny A-Wing. But, not impossible. The whole story thus far has only been possible because of extremely lucky results.

No it wasn't. Arvel Crynyd (The Rebel Pilot) got his A-Wing hit by one of those lasers and knew he was going to fatally crash, so he valiantly steered it into the Executor's bridge, taking it down with him.

In reality it was quite a few things that led to this catastrophic outcome, but the movie only showed the feather that brought the whole thing tumbling down

The engines were seriously damaged as revealed / retconned in the book Lost Stars.

It's also in canon. According to the book Lost Stars the main engines were heavily damaged by the Rebels because the Executor scrambled its fighters too late.

If you damage a ship's bridge, it will instantly go out of control.
