7 жыл бұрынQuash is a pigeon who was found as a baby with a broken wing on the streets of Las Vegas in 2013. She has laid multiple eggs and now lives in luxury with her humans. Because of her broken wing she cannot fly, but she appreciates being put on tall objects.

A lot of people don't realize how expressive and intelligent pigeons are and how well they can bond to people. They nod their heads as an acknowledgement to each other. You can nod back to them and if they are accustomed enough to people, they will nod back. The back and forth nodding can go on and on :D They also flick their wings like in the video when they're excited to see a loved one whether it's another pigeon or a human they have a bond with! You can even try imitating their sounds and they will respond! I have cared for many over the years and I love them so much!

I like birds, and they're cute, but I wouldn't want to have one as a pet. Pigeons for example shit like two times per hour or something, and pet birds probably aren't very selective about where they do it.

I fed some pigeons on my balcony for some years and didn't know i would miss them soooo much after having to move out. Each had their own personality traits and they are incredibly intelligent! The pigeons in our cities come from domesticated ancestors, no wonder they are great loving pets ❤❤

She is! Her person takes really good care of her and she recently had her wellness checkup at one of the best avian vets in town. She's got some issues with partially formed infertile eggs but nothing worrying!

. I rescued a baby pigeon from the street. He was only breathing and he couldn't even open his eyes. Now, he's a healthy bird. Now, I realize that he rescued me because he is making me happy since he wakes up early in the morning. He wants to play all the time. He sings, he dances for me. Every time he sees me eating he flies to ask me for food as if he's hungry, though I have food for him all around my home. .

I think some animals might be immune to that, they just have this innate instinctive aversion to being domesticated or petted, Pallas cats for eg.

A couple of months ago I was walking around in the city and I noticed that while feeding the pigeons one of them came far closer than the others so I tried to handfeed it and then it was suddenly sitting ontop of my arm :3

Quash is a pet, but she's the same species as the wild pigeons you see. She was actually rescued from the streets of Vegas with a broken wing when she was young which is why she's so affectionate.
