Had a couple inquirys as to the hole dimensions. You can make the main front board any size you want. I used 3/4 inch plywood. I cut a hole that is 125mm wide X 260mm tall. I use the cut out material as the landing board. Attach a cross board on the back side the same thickness as the front board. Measure from the bottom of the cut out on the main board 120mm. that is the line to attach the crossboard . Put a hinge on the cross board. I added a thin and slightly larger piece of wood to the landing area. Just for a bit larger landing area. Then attach something on the backside as weights. I just used extra hinges, one at a time, until i saw it would hold 2 birds landing on it and standing on it at the same time. Then used a couple metal thumb type knobs to be able to lock the trap when I don't want birds out and at night i could keep it closed.

Wish I knew about this type of trapdoor system. A cat raided my loft and killed about a dozen pigeons. What pisses me off is tht it wasn't even eating the whole bird only a small portion e.g abit of the neck, stomach, then killing and doing the same to other birds. I killed the sorry little fucker
