IDORISE is an idol festival held in Tokyo every year at multiple venues over a two-day period with performances held during the day and in the evening and was allowed this year with attendance being limited to 50% of capacity for each venue with other restrictions

PIGGS! Fantastic! This is Pour Lui's latest group. She's the mother of the underground idol scene. She started BiS in 2010 with a mission to challenge the sugary, cute, wholesome conventions of Japanese idol pop. BiS kicked down the doors, showed that idols could be cool and badass and make any kind of music they liked, and all the unconventional idol groups that followed (BiSH, BELLRING Girls Heart, Necronomidol, Burst Girl, Broken By The Scream, and many, many more) owe a debt to Pour Lui. PIGGS is a less confrontational group than BiS was, but they still have bags of attitude. Musically they sound like a great juke box or a good radio station that plays classic rock/pop from the early '70s through to the present day. No metal to speak of, but plenty of stomping glam-punk with occasional forays into reggae and other genres. Weirdly perhaps, the band they most remind me of is Garbage. (Which is a good thing in my book.) Underground idols, as the name suggests, usually don't have the backing of big agencies or labels. They operate on shoestring budgets and play most of their shows in tiny venues to a few dozen loyal fans if they're lucky. (There are a few exceptions, like BiSH, who are so popular and media-savvy that we can't really call them "underground" any more.) This is an underground idol festival so it's kinda "indie" and small-scale and doesn't have the level of stage production that you might expect at a more mainstream major festival.

PIGGS! The legendary Pour Lui is back again! She's a goddess of the alternative idol scene. They've released one album, one EP and one single so far (of what I know of). If you like this maybe you should check out her solo stuff or with BiS (Brand-new idol Society). I love the alternative idol scene in Japan, influenced by rock, punk and metal, there are so many crazy groups (BiSH, Necronomidol, 969, Billie Idle, Manacle, Mugen Regina, RayMay, Spark Speaker...and many more)!

I believe PIGGS stands for Produce Idol Go to world Is Good Society...something like that. Also Pour Lui's old manager called her a pig numerous times during a Diet or Die challange... maybe that had something to do with the name choice. Check out their song ThankyouFuckyou, it's crazy!
