32:24 Note, it doesn't actually walk, it can simulate walking motions, but thanks to Square Cube Law, it's actually just held up by support beams and can't walk on land. Its still the coolest Gundam related thing ever, went there last year, almost came when I saw it move with Amuro's VA speaking.

Gundam is such a huge series with all its spinoffs, books, and shows that it’s impossible to start at. Then once you get into the series, and read or wish certain things to happen. You get into this habit of making your own scenario where you want Amaro to get together with sayla. But you don’t want him to die at the battle of Abou-ko. So just saying to those who watch gundam, you can make up your own scenarios, hell make it your own cannon story. Just remember every time you rewatch it, it’s gonna be different than your own interpretation. Great video btw, there’s definitely a lot of stuff I didn’t know.

I honestly like to think that along with the build series potentially being Gundam Valhalla for the characters, but also every store has a model kit for every MS from every Gundam media, even if the MS never had a model kit or when Bandai decides to stop selling them, like the Geara Zulu’s or the Big Zam

I went to the Gundam crisis attraction in 2010! As a non-Japanese speaker, it goes without saying that I did horribly, and barely understood the rules. I was mainly at the park to see the new “Evangelion World” area at the park, but the Gundam stuff was cool as well. I went through the gift shop too, it was awesome.

I remember G-Savior. Still got the DVD. I do remember reading somewhere at the time that it was supposed to be a big deal because Gundam was just getting big in the West. Sunrise was apparently so confident that they just let the Canadians do whatever. Until they saw the first cut. Apparently, the execs from Sunrise were so upset they banned any use of the name Gundam, or anything else tying it to Gundam and just allowed it's release to recoup a bit of what they spent. No idea if it's true, but explains a few things.

Turn A and Witch are both great, with both eventually getting very Gundam in themes. Wing and IBO have pretty similar main hero and heroine characters, so it might make sense to watch wing first.

The changes to the victory episode airing was actually not by demand from up on high. Rather it was because at the last minute Victory got a new timeslot that would mean a much younger audience, and the team decided that it would be better to show the Gundam in the first episode. But so far into the production they had already done a lot of expensive animation, so any rewrite would have to be done around the animation already done, and they decided that recasting the first three episodes as flashbacks with a few minor scenes and dialogue changes for context would be the most feasible way to do that.

I was aware of “Gundam Valhalla” theory and I really like it and choose to believe it’s canon. That means that all our favorite characters that died horrible or unnecessary deaths get a second chance at life where all the horrible wars they fought and died in are fiction and piloting mobile suits isn’t some grim duty of soldiers forced to kill or be killed but is instead done for purely for entertainment and the love of the sport and hobby.

I guess with thunderbolt, it is like the marvel cinematic universe where most things live action is considered canon. The animated continuity is considered canon. The company is probably not very picky about small inconsistencies as well.

I guess Thunderbolt is Semi canon, where parts of it actually happened but things that contradict later enteries isn't canon, Kinda like 40K where Contradictions are just swept under the rug, its just that in 40K its explained as in Universe Propaganda, Folktails or simple Misreporting. (Record Keepers in 40K are infamous for being incompetent due to a Bloated Burocracy, infact te Burocracy in the setting in general has major issues and the Timeline is so vast that the Story was eventually corrupted in the long game of Telephone, I guess you can headcanon UC Gundam the same.)

The one thing about MSG: The Origin it was made a little bit different from the manga so it can fit smoothly into MSG TV series.The creator had stated in the past that the prequel series is more connected to the remastered MSG Movie Trilogy instead of the series, since the movie has new dialogue and voice actors

Even just the oyw is all messed up. I'd say most stuff in between msg and cca is pretty stable, but late uc gets messy too

My love for Gundam(and anime in general) began with Toonami airing Gundam Wing, after school. They showed Mobile Suit Gundam a little after that. Then Adult swim had the excellent Gundam 0083. Those were some great years.
