@@pigskinsandpigtails I was not able to screw in the four screws in the very first step attaching the platen bracket to the platen. I used the electric screwdriver that I had and the screws simply would not go in to the platen over halfway. So, I had to contact our neighbor who is a professional contractor to use his heavy duty screwdriver and he even had to give it a little extra push to get them to go in all the way. Clearly the platen is heavy duty and good, but either the starter holes were not adequately started or a heavy duty screwdriver is necessary, something that a single senior woman like me doesn't have. Also, I would suggest including some cheap wrenches in the kit that are the sizes required to tighten things up. Again, I don't have a selection of wrenches and had to borrow them as well. I have put furniture and bookcases and craft carts together and usually the wrenches needed for these things are part of the kit. So, just a suggestion to make it easier to put this together. This press is most definitely a quality press, I won't deny that. I just found getting it put together a bit more challenging and harder than I expected, especially when I watched this video on my phone. It looks easy in the video but unless you have all the tools or know someone who does, it might be a bit frustrating.
