Really interesting seeing the perspective of somebody who prefers the Wii version. The cursor controls are wayyyy better, but I find myself preferring the Gamecube version because I like controlling the Pikmin with the C-stick, and I find it easier to mash the A button without having the cursor vibrate all over the place. I love this series. Since I was little I'd start trying to play through the games without any deaths and now there's no other way to play the games for me. This is not a series for people who only play games once, though. Those are the people that complain the games are too short.

I really hope there's gonna be a collab with Chuggaaconroy because not only did Emile mention he knew Antdude, a lot of people first learned about Pikmin from Emile.

I remember playing Pikmin 2’s multiplayer through a GameCube copy on my Wii from a rental store. (The only GameCube game I played until I started collecting) My brother and I had the time of our lives. We had it for five days and just loved it. We still occasionally bring it up in conversation because we remember how fun the game really was. Really want to go back and play it again.

I personally prefer the gamecube version The left stick doesn't control Olimar, it controls the cursor, and the cursor can only go a set distance from Olimar, when you reach that distance, the cursor will begin pulling Olimar along behind it

Listen up dude when you get to pikmin 3 you have to spend at least half of the vid talking about mission mode & dlc mission mode is the one and only thing that makes pikmin 3 better than all the other games. You should think of mission mode as the primary game mode instead of story mode. It’s such an intense and rewarding experience. story mode may be a lot of fun the first time you play it. but mission mode will have you come back time and time again trying to get the platinum medals. And on top of that mission mode is co-op. this is what makes pikmin 3 my favourite game of all time. Everyone should buy the mission mode dlc because pikmin 3 is a Nintendo selects title. Please give mission mode the attention it deserves. And if this comment inspires you could you please like it so I know

What I love about the first game is that it really makes you feel the isolation and the tension of be on an alien planet all alone and with little time to make things right... I think the later games are a little more serene and relaxing.

actually according to the pikmin 1 manual: the reason why Captain Olimar did not intercept the incoming meteor from the beginning of the game with the Nova Blaster is because the route he was flying through was usually a safe one, therefore he had put the S.S. Dolphin on auto-pilot to get some tea, and failed to notice the meteor.

I love this series for its premise and the many things under that, my favorite pikmin out of all of them are the Yellow and Purple ones, which just so happen to be complementary colors to each other.

The Pikmin series is one of my favorite game series overall. I got introduced to the Pikmin series via the 2nd entry, I didn't play the 1st one till a little while later. I prefer the Gamecube version of Pikmin 1 and 2 as that's what I grew up with. The "wii-mote + nunchuck" controls of the Wii version to me look a bit awkward but I can understand the appeal. As for the gameplay of Pikmin 1, it's pretty enjoyable but it does obviously suffer from 1st game syndrome (Pikmin getting very easily distracted and caught on corners, the crushing glitch in this game being a major cause of Pikmin deaths, you can't save your Pikmin from fire via whistling, etc.). It does have more replay value due to its shorter length (at most being 5 maybe 6 hours long) and has a bigger focus on puzzle elements then later entries (especially the 2nd entry) though. I look forward to the rest of the Pikmin marathon AntDude.

Always enjoyed the original Pikmin games. As a kid, I would play Pikmin 2, and I would literally spend whole in game days just farming Pikmin, then the following day, throw them into all sorts of danger. Younger me seemed to have had some problems. 💀
