every returning type is the least useful theyve ever been in pikmin 4 and its because even though every type is in the game you are only allowed three at a time Very few elemental gates. No poison gates. No gas pipes. No electrical wire or light bulbs. No flukeweeds. No bamboo gates. No clipboards. No dams. No clogs. No crystals and few crystal enemies. Oatchi knocks down high up items. the only type that gets the focus it deserves is ice pikmin i hope pikmin 5 does this better

For purple farming, you can skip down to the. Final floor, get 10 purples, flower them, leave, go back into the cave's entrance, and repeat in ONE day with hardly any loss of time

White pikmin in pikmin 2 are definitely an A or B having that speed makes a difference and poison is pretty common

if only 5 types from pikmin 4 were to return in pikmin 5 i think it would have to be these 5 Red, Yellow, Blue, Winged, and Ice red yellow and blue have to be in every game winged and ice pikmin have the most potential of all the remaining types

Ok so in your other ranking video I think I commented something else so I'm gonna give both my rankings! For the games it's Pikmin 1, Hey Pikmin, Pikmin 2, Pikmin 3, Pikmin 4 and then Pikmin 3 Deluxe! Feel free to disagree but 1 suffers from 1st game syndrome, Hey although not the best is decent and not as clunky as 1, 2 is a step up from 1 in almost every way, Pikmin 3 is amazing no doubt about it, 4 is great but smaller things like auto lock on not being otional make me not enjoy it as much! And finally Deluxe is the most well rounded game, has a lot of replay value and it's only real problem is that it's to easy. Atleast the challange stages are actually hard unlike 4! For the Pikmin (In 4 specifically) it goes Wings, Rocks, Yellows, Whites, Reds, Blues, Glows, Purples and the mesaia of Pikmin 4 Ice. And Bulbmin would be right under glows as they are more charming but barley less useful and put Puffmin above the 3 crew as they are just used SOOOO little in this game. then Yellows are overall good but the lack of things like the electric wires and other hazards brings them down. Whites are good but Poison doesn't show up much until they stick it in your face in Primordial Thicket but speed is useful. Reds are well rounded but end up in the middle due to others being less used and others more used. Blues not because they are necisarily REALLy godd just there's a shit to of water in this game. Glows for obvious reasons but you can't bring them out of caves which balances them out. Purples are arguabley more overpowered because of their new AOE attack. And finally Ice pikmin have potential for INsta kill on most enemies and overall have tthe most utility and are bitter sparys but you can mass produce them!

15:10 Whites and purples never appear in Battle Enemies maps. The only map where both they and an onion exist is Beastly Cavern's Collect Treasure, which has separate red and blue onions. Also, Purples are vital when they appear in Collect Treasure. Thirsty Desert Remix is essentially entirely built around them. Every second counts and the opportunity cost of having 10 pikmin carry heavy fruit/corpses instead of using one purple is prohibitive. You cannot finish in time to get platinum ranks without using purples. Their combat sucks in 3, but their carrying capacity alone makes them very useful, especially since they exclusively appear in levels designed to utilize it. I'd personally put them in B-ish for Pikmin 3 usefulness, but certainly not as low as F, unless if you count their limited availability against them.

I agree almost, without the preference. Winged pikmin aren't used too much, only in some caves and primordial thicket(usually). But other than that, I agree they are useful.
