I wonder if part 2 is gonna be the fall of Stygian. Because man, that would be brilliant. May i say, i love how much the Pillars represent the Elements of Harmony and the Mane 6. But i love even more, how Stygian is the literally shadow copy of Starlight. Not the same motive naturally, but something seen as all good in the world, being the very thing they felt abandoned by. And when their shame overtakes them the thing they felt abandoned them is the very thin ruining the safe haven they created for themselves. But what's beautiful about this, is Starlight was the only one who saw through Styigian's shadow and saw a pony who was hurting. Still hurting. You'd think Twilight might see the same thing, as Twilight was the one who saw Starlight's pain, but she was too blinded by her admiration of Starswirl that she just wanted to follow Starswirl. The rest of the Pillars followed Starswirl, and the rest of the Mane 6, the princesses and Spike all followed Twilight's intuition, which was clouded by her pride. Starlight stood her ground against everyone, and was willing to sacrifice herself to rescue Stygian Starlight for the win.

I'm impressed with DaWillstanator's voice acting: you can tell he's Starswirl here, and when playing Fall of an Empire as Sombra, he's Sombra. Same voice, different characters.

A beacon of hope... A pillar of strength... An expert in healing... A paragon of bravery... A symbol of true beauty... A master of magic... And a poor pony to bring them together, to lead his village into the light. But the closer one draws to the light... ...The larger one's shadow becomes. This was an amazing project, everyone involved did a wonderful job. From the awesome Egyptian/Arabian vibes in Somnambula's portion to Rockhoof's Celtic metal, from the "big band" Cajun feel of Meadowbrook to Flash Magnus's fast paced tune and incredible range, from the beautiful and tender Asian motifs in Mistmane's tale to the austere and almost regal tone of Star Swirl's number, so many different emotions and backgrounds were captured magnificently here. Excellent work, everyone!

😮 Wow! There’s a lot of things going on here. You really when all out matching the music themes to the different cultures and moods. Especially with “All From Hope” and “Healin’ Brew”. “Forged as One” is amazing, “Great Strength” is okay, but I’m sorry to say that that “Brave Enough” isn’t one of my favorites. (No offense. Just personal opinion. Maybe it’s just me?) My favorite song overall is "True Beauty Inside”. That really brought me to tears. Overall, I love this opera and it’s story. I can’t wait for Part 2! 😊

Absolutely magnificent, love how each song was unique to reflect each Pillar, Stygians strong heroic intro music, the Arabic style for Somnambula, the Celtic/Nordic metal style for Rockhoof, Meadowbrook's Cajun/jazz, Flash Magnus's intense beat reflecting his daring spirit, Mistmane's more gentle style and the grandeur of Starswirls' theme Also love why each Pillar agreed to join Stygian after solving their individual problems. Somnambula unable to deny hope to another, Rockhoof's overwhelming confidence in their united strength, Meadowbrook wishing to heal what the Sirens have done, Flash Magnus respecting Stygians bravery in beginning his epic quest, Mistmane giving everything simply to help and Starswirl agreeing to guide them after the other Pillars made their case and justifying that they'll do it either way. And doing it despite seeing the looming problem of the shadows such a great united light can cast Can't wait to see Part 2 and where the Pillars go after finally uniting

So cool how all these different styles fit perfectly within a metal context. Metal truly is a chameleon of a genre. It's hard to choose a favourite, (as well as unnecessary,) but I'm gonna go with Brave Enough. The solos are as epic as they come, and I'm a big fan of that raw scream style of singing.

After listening to this several times, I think I can say All From Hope is my favorite. Although unsurprisingly, I have a soft spot for ancient Egyptian themed anything. Healin Brew is catchy and I also love The Heroes I Seek.

My favorite part has got to be 41:40 with "PUT MY TRUST IN HOPE" in unison, as I wrote in my comment that moment was quite emotional for me ^.^ The whole track Forged As One has got to be my favorite. I so loved that exchange between the characters there, so full of meaning, and so emotional and tragic when you know what's to happen next and how Stygian's frustration and Shadow will get the best of him. All those lyrics are so impressive and epic, lots of props for that!!

I am most impressed by the melodic writing you crafted in this L-train. Some incredibly strong melodies, I especially like the final song. And I know how hard coordinating a group of people can be, it impressive how quickly you pumped this out. Great variety between the song. And ofcourse impressive work from everyone involved, especially the solo vocalists. DaWillstanator's Starswirl really surprised me.

My personal favorites are All From Hope and With Great Strength with theirs touching stories, and Healin' Brew with its catchy motifs. Fogerd As One is pretty decent too with its amasing Star Swirl voice. Others are really good too but these are the best.

Loved all but Brave Enough. It wasn't clicking for the voice to music sadly. Not the fault of anyone or things, but that style does well with a deeper voice i feel. Everything else is super well done and I thoroughly enjoyed it. All from hope was so unusual, im trying to place where the group or tunes that really helped inspire it so in style came from. But loved the take and story. Kudos to Healin Brew and True Beauty Inside. I loved the take of two very different styles, and doing it well. Same for TBI, as the singer carries the song wonderfully. And I very much look forward to part B.

Yes, took me a second to remember what this reminded me of. I think it's especially the track "River of Time" that has some similar sounds and melodies.

For some reason, while I was listening to this, I was pairing Stygian with Somnambula. .... Eh. It's probably nothing. And now... we wait for part two..... Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh boy. Stygian is gonna have a serious Anakin Skywalker moment really soon.

This is incredible!! Every part has something that just made me go wow, and theirs too many great things to point out to praise. Great performances by everyone, and masterful tunes and lyrics! These projects don’t get nearly as much love as they should get.

Holy smokes, I had (somehow) never heard of your music until someone shared this link in the Legends of Equestria Discord today...and now I'm absolutely hooked!! I honestly can't choose a favorite part, but I absolutely loved the instrumentation and the leitmotif in Rockhoof's segment...and the opening of Healin' Brew reminded me of the toe-tapping rhythm of "Train Rush", which is definitely a good thing. 😁 Thanks so much for composing this, and thank you to all you wonderful musicians for sharing your gifts with us!

I feel bad for Stygian, the ponies thought he was trying to be greedy but he just wanted to be part of the heroes as well as he were not recognized as one of the ponies who was considered to be a savior as he were the one who got them all together

Well from the comics it seems as though only Star Swirl actually didn't care about Stygian's feelings. Rockhoof was Stygian's mentor/big brother...Flash and Mistmane were ready to follow orders from Stygian as well as Star Swirl...as for Meadowbrook and Somnambula...They, with no doubt in my mind, have crushes on Stygian...When Star Swirl forgot who Stygian was, which made Stygian slump, Somnambula and Meadowbrook went and press their cheeks against Stygian's and raised his head up and out of the dumps, both said Stygian was "the sweetest, most handsome stallion we've ever met!" The two girls said, "We're the MOST grateful out of all of us that such a sweet and caring stallion brought us together... Somnambula literally gave Stygian a big hug and gave him "the eyes" when they first met, said she was "So happy to see a pony not covered in bandages, not to mention the most handsome stallion I've ever met!" Stygian said, "I didn't realize until now how easy I can get myself more than one mare! But, for a mare in the desert...you don't seem to have ever felt the heat before, have you" to which Somnambula replies with, "Yeah, it's true, I have been alone for a such long time..." and a bit earlier, Meadowbrook said she wanted to Stygian a special treatment; this he made an out of context joke about saying "Special treatment? Don't you think it's a bit early to roll in the hay?" to which she replies, "I was talking about medicine...also, no... it's not." This says that Stygian ALSO has a crush on the two girls. So, I have NO IDEA why there no Clop art for Somnambula X Stygian X Meadowbrook...I only saw one and it didn't even have an int******rse. Anyway, Star Swirl was the ONLY one to not care about Stygian or the poor guy's feelings...the other did, so I bet Star Swirl manipulated them into thinking Stygian went rouge...So, no wonder Stygian felt so betrayed...He felt betrayed by his own mentor, his hero, AND his two girlfriends who he already was intimate with!

I can't wait until part 2 is released. And then could you do one on the legend of Celestia and Luna, including where Luna becomes Nightmare Moon? I'm also curious why every member of the Pegasus Legion had a shoe on only one hoof, and not the other three as well.
