I cried endlessly listening to this song. Growing up in India , I was 8 years old when Selena passed away. But I heard about Selena the first time when the company that I work in, MAC Cosmetics launched a makeup collection dedicated to Selena in 2016. The collection was a tribute to her life and her work and I was deeply touched knowing about who Selena was. But it is only in 2023 that when I returned from a flight from Amsterdam -India that I watched the movie SELENA and I cried watching the movie in the flight - Such a kind, fun loving and immensely talented person gone too soon! 💔 Wherever you are Selena, we love you and I wish you touch our lives in a human form once again.

Poor Chris. This being the song that Selena called him to come to the studio to listen too. But said he was too busy to get away.... Not knowing he only had a short time left with his girl. Then after she passed he had to come in a help finish it and not only had to listen to the song. But he realized that she wanted him to come hear it is because she worked it so it sound like she's thinking about him while she was singing it. But that's Chris's theory. Because she NEVER called him to listen to anything at the studio. But knowing Selena... it was true. :)

R.I.P. to Selena, when I first heard this song from the film (how I learned of her) it of course almost brought me to tears...I hardly ever cry. But, now that I'm older, 24, this song just hits SO differently. No disrespect to Selena at all, but with all music or works of art, the listener can interpret different things. I feel like this song is meant for long distanced lovers, so I don't understand why the radio broadcaster (from the music video) keeps saying "I know the one you're dreaming about is right there with you" well....they're not. This song has so much passion about wanting and needing to be with the one you love; a love you have to wait for....or may never get to have. I pray and pray that my lover recovers from OCD and we can FINALLY hold each other close and never ever let go. If we get married, this will be one of the songs we dance to. I try not to breakdown but when she sings "And I still can't believe that you came up to me and said: 'I love you' 'I love you too'.." reminds me of us and our story soo much

Selena passed away 4 days before I was born and she is still one of my favorite artist. Her voice just does something to my soul. I’m black btw & I definitely be tryna learn the spanish parts but I be good with just dancing to the beats 😂 … I saw Selena once (with jlo) and was hooked on her ever since. I was living in texas when all that happened to salena, 😢mt heart is still broke from this, i would see peoples faces in Texas, people were so hurt yall, but they all come together , i love yall, me and my family cryed our eyes our, they knew i loved her song, Dreaming of you.
