Three members of Pilot eventually appeared in the Alan Parsons Project. Parsons was the producer on this track as well as the Hollies "Air that I Breath" and Al Stewart's "The Year of rhe Cat. All three songs made the US top 5 between 74-77. I can recall singing the chorus with a friend of mine in my VW bug at a stop sign in 1976. Only time I ever heard that guy sing.

The band's guitarist Ian Bairnson played the outro guitar solo a few years later on Kate Bush's "Wuthering Heights" - one of the best guitar solos ever. Sadly, he passed away a few months ago, just 69 years old.

They used this song for a blood sugar medication commercial. "Oh, oh, oh, Ozempic". Also earlier for an AT&T commercial and for Swiffer mop.

A classic! It's been a zillion movies and commercials over the years. One of my favorites was when it was used in the soundtrack of "Incredible Burt Wonderstone" - an other wise forgettable film, but a funny scene at the end.

David Paton, who is singing in this, did a lot of studio work after this as an accomplished bass player. He played on Elton John's Nikita among many others.

Also a core member (bass and vocals) along with Ian Bairnson (guitar) with the AlanParsonsProject for many years, David was in Camel, he collaborated with Rick Wakeman (YES) and many more, he was the "boss" of Pilot, he and Ian also worked together with Kate Bush. The drummer Stuart Tosh was on the first 2 albums of AlanParsonsProject, after that he joined 10CC (on Dreadlock Holiday).

It's kind of a pop bubble gummy song I guess! It's ok, but not a favorite for me! A song from that era and genre I like is 🧩 Jigsaw singing, I drew a blank, my memory totally derailed, but you all know which song I'm referring to! Oh yeah, I think it's Sky High! Wow, it's hard work to leave a comment and opinion, and not appreciated by everyone! Toodles!
