The bad thing about pilot opt is its lead may easily break, I had experienced many times so I'm sharing it. It's hard to fix on the broken lead, even bad was you can even use the pencil anymore if the lead is stuck there. Consider these factors first, then buy it if you want.

However the good thing is that the pencil end is made of silver, which makes me feels comfortable when writing, silver is normally cold when touched.

@@cws9637 Thanks for your comment! This video was two years ago and I have since moved away from the Pilot Opt for the same reason you mentioned. I'm now on the Tombow Mono Graph mechanical pencil. Here is my review. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/oZh_hrGCs6qyeo0.html

I just bought this pen and tried it, I had the same problem. But I figured a solution, you can use another lid to push the lid out of it's head but it wastes too much time, unlike rex grip on the other hand.

The pilot opt is my favorite mechanical pencil! I love the weight of it because its not too light :) it just feels so nice to draw with! Really nice vid btw

Now it’s my favorite mechanical pencil, too! I think it’s really thoughtfully designed. And the shaker feature is ❤️. Now I want the Water one. 🤣 I hope they come up with more colors. Thanks for being here!

I'm a 2B girl but sometimes to try draw I miss something between hb and 2B , I bought a 3B and 4B lead but is smuding everyting if used to write and I'm a heavy hand writer, in my city I don't find all lead sizes , only HB and 2B , my preffer lead are pentel and pilot, here in Brasil are the only two japoneses brands that i find stationary products but not all lines actually very few or take long time to arrive here. One lead that I hate is the Faber Castell one isn't soft and dark enough to me and the very cheap ones coulb be writen in the pack 10B lead that it will be something like H lead.

Yeah. 4B can smudge badly sometimes. But I don’t draw, I just use the pencils for handwriting notes, so it works for me. Try the Uni. I heard their leads are more advanced than the other brands.

Same as with most other mechanical pencils. Just remove the eraser and drop in the leads. Then put the eraser back. 😊

How do you push the lead back into the mechanical pencil?

Pushing it back in is just the same concept with normal mechanical pencils: depress the button (in this case the clip), and push the lead back in, then release the button/clip.
