4 жыл бұрынJust Planes is honored to continue its series with AeroMexico by bringing you this 4th film in the series and our very 1st program featuring the Boeing 787-9! Also delighted to be featuring the special aircraft painted in "Quetzalcoatl" livery.
After a brief introduction by the airline's Chief Operating Officer we head North to the US border city of Tijuana on a great and scenic domestic flight. We then take Quetzalcoatl for a transantic flight from Mexico City to Madrid and end the program with a return to Mexico from Paris in which we witness an unusual freezing fog that almost keeps us on the ground but we do make it out with minimum visibility after being de-iced.
As always the AeroMexico crews are super friendly and eager to talk about the aircraft, the flight, route and many other details which makes each program a bit different and keeps things interesting.

They mostly are but strangely I've seen a number of pilots in Mexico who have both hands on the stick... I must think its an approved procedure by them if so many are doing it...

I was checking the comments to see if someone else noticed that. It really stood out because the first officer looked, waited, and had a slowed call for the reversers. It does seem like AM has a procedure which encourages pilots to land with the autothrottles engaged (as JustPlanes pointed out), but as a flight instructor I'd never let a student land without a hand on the throttles.

Jack Herstam barring old airplanes like 737,747 which do not have capability to land with autothrottles all newer planes are recommended to land with autothrottles but not keeping hands on throttles and totally forgetting about reversers was awful

Las reversas son opcionales! Es mejor sujetar el timon durante la carrera de aterrizaje por seguridad y es un avión tan seguro que no hay que mantener las manos en los aceleradores. Imposible tener lost of breaking en este avión.. 🤔

@JG hasta donde yo se la razón por la cual nunca quitas las manos de los aceleradores es porque en cualquier momento antes de tocar tienes y aun después de tocar y antes de activar las reversa hay posibilidades de una ida al aire inmediata . por cualquier motivo.. si yo hago algo así en donde trabajo me reprueban inmediatamente. aún taxeando no se permite dejar los aceleradores solos,, solo en vuelo obviamente.. pero pues así trabajan pues que bien..

@JG no hay problema.. la mentalidad es que cada aterrizaje es una potencial ida al aire hasta que desplieguas las reversas y no importa que sistema tengas fracciones de segundo son vitales así que las manos en potencias / o botín de ida a aire don esenciales no las maníes en timon sin importarte lo demás

La aviación es apasionante por la tecnología aérea y los escenarios...pero es monótono el trabajo del piloto haciendo siempre lo mismo: procedimiento y procedimientos una y otra vez. Nada que inventar, solo manejar el avión y punto.

not sure,with such a long runway and airport threshold an early stopping by using thrust reversers will result in turbine reacceleration. I guess
