A playthrough of the demo for Pine: A Story of Loss, where you're a woodworker coming to terms with the loss of his wife in their cozy little place in the woods.
This looks really lovely and the narrative looks pretty good but I feel the implementation is a little off. The game moves at a glacial pace to where I was hoping something more interesting than the guy's daily chores would occur. As well, I cut out some difficulties with the well on Day 2 (I'm not sure if it was lag or an interface screw to mimic the difficulty pumping water but I was stuck there for several minutes) and with the wood carving of his wife (which also took many minutes to finish).
Maybe it's just me but it feels like it needs better pacing. I hope the finished game is more engaging because I really want to like this game.
