Dude. I've been in carpentry 35 years so please consider this. In the beginning of video, the 45° of flat stock, you measured the board with table saw still running. The tape measure and your fingers were within a inch of running blade. Maybe you didn't realize it but IMO you did it out of habit. This needs corrected.

The impeccable quality of your woodworking deserves a far better finish than this "shabby chic" paint job. I restore and preserve historic furniture, and often have to match the wear and patina of replacement parts. There's a lot more to it than adding a few dents and sanding through the paint in obvious areas as is so popular these days. Your work deserves better! But I know, it's what the customer wants, so what are you going to do?

Круто, но не имело смысла делать из массива при такой покраске, из мдф было бы проще сделать, а в данном случае оставили бы текстуру дерева под маслом , направление волокон дерева у Вас идеально подобрано

You put extra effort on aligning the on the profile but at the end you just painted it, i know you want to achieve a rustic furniture but at least you first put a sealer and a varnish to make it more realistic coz old furnitures were coated with varnish, just a thought.

I was wondering why people would go through the extra work to make something new look really old... Great workmanship! Just never understood that concept... I mean...younger girls may try to do that to get someone older that has a car and can show her around more places than kids her age... but usually those relationships don't last long as the girls are given labels like jail bait or tease or loose etc... Maybe the idea is to have a mature look without the potential broken/compromised backbone of the piece?
@WoodworkingDIY8 ай бұрын
I don't think much of it. Scratch is only considered as a technique. If one day the dust sitting on the furniture looked pretty You can also research it and make it your skill.
