Have never done a derby myself but have always loved everything about them them since I was a kid. Now older and still enjoy following the good ones around MN and Pine County is one of the best. My question... Is there any reason once the trouble started you didn't go to a 2 feet deal? That left foot never got involved. Would riding the brake with that left foot have helped keep it running vs yanking the right foot to use the brake or is there a reason just using the right leg? Just curious. It's obvious that you know exactly what you are doing! Cool vid's enjoy watching them yearly.

Sorry, I only managed to GoPro Sunday this year. For example Friday in the dark the quality doesn't always turn out.

adjust ur timing or turn up idle :)

I wonder if it's my coil. I broke the stock one and replaced it with some random mopar one. The spark may not be as strong...? Idk that's right when I noticed it running rough when it gets hot. Otherwise I do spend some good time adjusting the timing while the engine is almost steaming hot. Idle is around 1000rpm, 🤔 the motor does have 11 runs on it with a couple heats with no water at all. Lol
