The flowering period for pine tree flowers is quite short. It lasts a little over 10 days, around the Qingming Festival. Because full-grown pine tree flowers can easily be blown away by the wind, so go up the mountain on a windless day and get some pine tree flowers. After drying them in the sun, rub gently to have some pine pollen and make a soft, fluffy, sweet and scented pine tree flower cake!

Dianxi Xiaoge's videos are helping me to understand how the Chinese people have survived and thrived over so many centuries of so many calamities, invasions, droughts, floods and civil upheavals. Over the years they have sustained themselves by discovering and finding ways to use so many of natures hidden foods. The pine cone pollen in this video is a perfect example. I have watched in wonder as she has made delicious looking foods with radish leaves and other vegetation that most of us throw away and never consider eating. These videos entertain us with the charm of her village, her simple techniques and scrumptious looking meals but there is a much greater lesson to be learned from this very special woman. That there is bounty all around us that we never see or consider. For many of us, if it's not in the supermarket, it's not going to be on our table. She shows us how much we are missing.

Yup . However now pollution is a huge problem in China and Korea along with pour sewage pipes . I honestly have to rethink like all of this was given up for what ? Dont get me wrong I love technology .. Don't care about cars though ( They break down , Many accidents happen because of them that leads to death along with the person his/herself doing , pollutes the air , people are gaining more weight and have a better excuse to be lazy , Can be hacked , Is more easier to be kidnapped in one and leaks gasoline . That and gas is becoming more and more expensive which is reasonable but still and the car is already expensive enough to buy this is why I will never get a car😥 ) however because of this communication is a problem and nothing is ever good enough the food quality isn't good enough , Not getting a good enough pay , Its more harder to make self buisnesses without selling yourself out but back then it was more easier , Many suck at multi tasking now , Everyone have to go through so much more hard work to find a job and still not get payed enough, More people lacks responsibility now wether they admit it or not , The air quality is poor , A lot of people suck at budgeting now , Global warming is through the roof more than its ever been and many people are suffering now literally both mentally and physically .

I live in a small country in Europe and here you can find pine tree pollen powder in mostly every shop that sells natural/herbal/ stuff ( I think it is called "healthy food stores " in English ). We mix it with raw honey and take a tea spoon of this mixture every morning or add it in our teas during winter/spring season to boost up immunity. It's a remedy that I've learned from my great- grandparents and grandparents. But it never never came across my mind that you can make cakes out of it! This is awesome and will try to make it for sure!

I had no idea there was pine tree flower dust that can be used for cooking... I grew up in the Rocky Mountain region and picked plenty of pine nuts... You're an amazing young woman, you have morals, respect, education, energy, you are so pretty, you work hard and you seem to be very happy...
