how far are you hitting your. i hit my 200 carry, not sure about 245 what this guy is hitting

@@bnzstheboy6520 i haven’t hit it on the course yet since it’s on pre order but when I flushed it I was hitting 235 carry on trackman. I hit my 5 iron 200 and my 4 iron 215. That being said I am 6’3’’ and my clubs are an inch longer then stock. He’s a better player with a lotta speed so I believe the yardage. He’s just makes it look to damn easy.

@@christophervasquez4715 I play the i210 and don't get those distance not even close. I use my irons to score.. 5 180} 4 190 standard distance - You must have power spec or something or bend your irons 2 degrees thru the set...

Thinking of returning my g425 hybrid and getting one of these instead. Can’t hit the hybrid straight to save my life. Always hooks like crazy. I rather hit a regular 3 iron but would love a little more consistency from it and seems like this is the answer

It is for sure worth a shot! We have heard great things about these from our fitters! Keep in mind we do offer a 30 day play guarantee! If you buy a club and it is not working out you can send it back and you will get full credit to trade it for something that fits your game better!

my 4 iron is 22.5, 3 crossover is 20. should I get the crossover 18.. my 4 iron goes 190 and need the 3 or 4 crossover

Hi. Loved your reviews on the new Ping clubs. I have a question? I have already ordered driver, 3 wood and 4 hybrid. I am about to order the crossover. What do you think 2 or 3 crossover My irons start with a 5 iron. Cheers.

Hi James, thanks for the comment! The solution here is all about the gapping in your bag. The G425 4-hybrid is 22 degrees and the 3-wood is 14.5 or 16, depending on the model you purchased. Ideally you're looking for about 4-6 degrees of loft between in each club, so you may need something in the 18 degree range, which would be a 2-crossover, if you're able to launch it high enough. Do you know the loft on your 5-iron?

@@2ndswing Hi guys. Thanks for the reply. A bit of background. I am in the process of trading in my G400 driver, 3 wood, 17 and 22 degree hybrids and irons (5 to 9 P/W U/W L/W S/I) and replacing them ALL with the new G425 clubs. I wanted to drop the 17 degree hybrid and replace it with the crossover but I felt I would need the 4 hybrid to help me in the semi rough. Sorry but I don't now the loft of the G425 5 iron. Originally I thought the 3 crossover might be the best option as I might not be able to launch the 2 crossover high enough. I did fancy using it as a driving iron!! I could always change the hybrid? Cheers.

Bought the crossover 2 w/ the ping Alta CB70 shaft when it first came out. I started hot with this club keeping it straight and good distance. Well since getting fitted and replacing my 20 year old TM racs & senior flex graphite shafts to Ping g425s with NP Modus 105R shafts and playing them all season, changing my swing tempo from way too light senior flex shafts to a much better fit and result with these NP Modus 105 shafts, my consistency with the 2 crossover has plummeted and it feels awkward and very flimsy in my hand. Would it make sense to replace the crossover shaft with the same shaft I have in my irons? My thought is my swing speed has increased and the 105gram iron shafts down to the 70gram 2 crossover shaft is messing with my tempo. I'm at a 98 -102 swing speed.

I would suggest matching up at least this stiffness. At 98-102 I presume with driver you would be considered into stiff flex. If that is with the crossover you may want heavier or stiffer yet to control the bending - Thomas

I’m 13 and shoot high 70s low 80s and am looking for a driving iron to suit my bag but can struggle getting the ball in the air. Am I good enough and or is this the right club for me

It could be a good addition. I would pay attention to your peak height and landing angle. It will come down to your club speed if you don't swing as fast you might want to consider the hybrid but if you have some speed the crossover is an option.

I recently ordered a ping g425 crossover 3 iron with 20 degrees loft. I usually hit my 5 iron 185 to 190. Curious to know what my approximate yardage would be with the 3 iron and whether or not I would be able to get good height out of it.

Thanks for watching Phillip! This will depend on your own tendencies. In general, yes, this club benefits faster swingers more. However, if you don't have a fast speed but can still lift the ball off the ground easily, this club can benefit you as well. Especially if you're looking for a lower ball flight either off the tee or at that hybrid distance

Yes we were testing with the 3-crossover. Ping will offer 2,3&4 in G425 crossovers.

Yes, would be a good one for sure. A more forward center of gravity than a hybrid or fairway wood which produces a lower ball flight

They should of kept it the same color as the G425 irons. That way it fits well with them.

If your hitting G425 irons I doubt you need a driving iron.
