Good Morning James.....Senior golfer here who put the 430 LST in the bag last year and I'm loving it. I think it's the best looking driver in a while, and with a fitting it's working great....will demo this but won't change for awhile.....Ping (IMO) have nailed it with this look....

I do love that almost click sound it makes off the club face. The ping irons look absolutely gorgeous.

I live in Canada and the cost is 800. Never thought I'd ever see a single golf club let alone Ping for that price. I quickly feel back in love with my 4 year old Taylor Made. 🤪

Tech on these drivers is just getting better and better. Unfortunately, the price gets higher and higher. I guess it is about investing in your game. I never thought I would see the day that a driver would cost more than the monthly payment on my first home. Monthly payment was 435.00 US dollars. Of course that was in 1980. I found the G430 max very spinny so got rid, might try the new version as it claims to be lower spin. Mind you it will have to be really good to replace my TSR2, which is a straight hitting rocket ship

When you show the distance stats, it would be nice to also show dispersion and strike quality/positions. In this case, it’s hard to see if the 10k is worth buying over the max as the numbers are almost identical!

Look, I would love to have one of those drivers, but I’m not spending $600 on it. I still have a G400 Max. Want to know why? Equipment costs way too much. I’m going to use my G400 Max until the face cracks, which may be never. I’m not spending $600 on a club.

Surprised to see you got slightly more spin out of the 10k. In terms of spin its supposed to fit in between the LST and the Max. must've came down to strike location. If i wasn't custom fit for TSR3 just 4 months ago in September i would def give the 10k a try.

James when you're hitting into the simulator we can't see the screen. The golf zone simulator machine is in the way. Would it be possible to re-position the camera?

I have the G430 Max and love it. I said I was going to keep it in the bag. And your video is the third video I’ve watched on the 10K Max and I’m considering it now. So thanks for that…haha but seriously I just need to get my hands on it and hit it and decide if it’s worth it.

I was in my pro shop yesterday and saw they had the 430 Max 10k in stock for $549, yet the 430 Max was only $399. I might need to test compare these. Thanks for all the great 2024 equipment reviews, James. P.S. You need John to drain that pond and get all your lost balls back.

I have the old G400 Max which I find really forgiving which is more important than 5-10 yards extra distance - I see you prefer recently the Calloway and stealth before but when you hit the consistency surely the Ping should be considered ?

Driver prices are insane. Even a-cobra is $550

I have been to the Ping testing lab in Scottsdale, AZ. Their driving machine can precisely adjust where the ball is hit on the face of the club to less than a millimeter. They can then measure accurately the flight of the ball, distance, direction, spin, and ball speed. The point is that it is completely scientific and technical. From this data, they can determine forgiveness relative to other Ping drivers and competitors. If Ping says this is their most forgiving driver, then I believe them.

Lol I'm just peeling shots back into the fairway as I pull it in the pond. Keep up the great work James. I love Ping but I just don't like the 10k, especially for the price. Best looking Driver of 2024 Qi10 finally a company that has the top line looking clean like golf clubs used to. I understand it's hard to blend 2 different materials but figure it out with paint and shading something.

james a quick question if you have not got enough ball speed will this driver become un playable

I have the g400 ,and the new ping 10k is 649 in my area I am looking to upgrade but I'd like to try pxg and wilson .so far had better numbers with Callaway over Taylor made and ping. Also like to try muzuno but I also would like to have a gallery to help keep my ball in bounds

Went and tested the top driver offerings (Qi10, AI Smoke Max, Dsrkspeed X, and G43010k) and wanted to like the Smoke and Darkspeed more. But the Ping ended up being the winner for me, the turbulators even grew on me. Found it to be surprisingly hot, even with range balls was easily reaching the 155-160mph threshold.

I traded up for this last week. I'm absolutley NAILING this thing. Out of 4 dozen shots, I pulled 2 left as hooks (when I miss, I miss left because I have a tendency to close my face on my downswing). The other 46 balls started left and then moved directly to the middle of the fairway. These numbers, plus the additional yards I'm getting from this, tells me that the face is adapting to my strikes, and I've never seen anything like this. Quite possibly the best driver I've ever hit. So, if you have some extra clubs you aren't using, and want a really happy driver experience, upgrade to this.

Would love to see this compared to last years LST. I love the LST but you definitely get punished on off center hits. If this doesn’t lose too much distance but gets you in the fairway much more often, it would be a huge step up. I also keep seeing the comments on the price of £600 in the UK. It’s $600 in the US which is the cost of all new drivers this year.

I was gaming a G430 Max and was skeptical until I tried the 10k. Better feel, sound, and amazingly forgiveness and distance. I really did not think there would be that much of a difference. I was wrong.

Really enjoying all the videos on the new clubs and tech coming out. But, these clubs have gotten crazy expensive for most people. $600 for a driver is crazy and seems to be the norm now. Im going to have to win one before I ever get to put one in the bag. 😂

Been playing the Max for awhile, like it a lot. I went over to the local golf shop and tired the 10k, it was def out performing the Max for me in distance (only slightly) but the forgiveness was amazing. I ended up ordering one after spending about an hour with the 10k vs the Max, getting more roll and release out of the 10k as well.

It's pricing itself out of the equation for me. I think it's experimental from ping and might be down to stock and supply/demand. They might know they are on to a winner. Will be interesting to see how many pros pick it up. I've caved 2 Callaways recently and wonder if the Pings are a bit more suited to 180+ swing speeds.

ive had 3 sets of ping irons but their woods just dont suit me. always seem to sit a little closed? im not a huge fan of the turbulators on the top.

One thing to think about with this driver is that due to the forgiveness you can play a longer shaft. I believe there is a tour player putting on in play with a 46” shaft this year to gain some carry yards without sacrificing much forgiveness.

James, good video in terms of outcome but I have to say the audio quality is very poor 😮 Voice is muffled and volume is low 😮😮 but you are not reading comments anyway so …. seems only my problem

I have G425 max and hit it well. But the sound I just can’t stand. Always sounds like I cracked the head

I’ll stick with the second hand market, new club prices are really obscene, but someone is buying a lot of them, thats why they sell them.

None of the brands are talking about how the 10k moi is only top to bottom not left and right as the legal limit for moi is much lower side to side

Qi10 max or g430 max 10k?

You need to get fitted for the G430 10k and give it a real go (long term test)

Hopefully, the MAX (non-10K) model will drop in price soon.

In Canada with taxes in this new Ping driver is $995. You have to be completely out of your mind to spend that kind of money. I’m sorry but I’m sticking with my Callaway Diablo Octane driver that’s at least 10/12years old. I think it was on sale at that time for $169.

Looks great. But the numbers you need to compare in the sim are miss hits. How do they compare. Center of the face isn’t going to tell you anything.

Having these clubs that have such a large sweet spot has it's benefits. But do they hurt your golf swing? Focus is the key to a consistent swing. An analogy I like to use is that before mobile phones I knew at least twenty peoples phone numbers in my head. Now I have to look up my own and have no idea what peoples numbers are. Can these clubs allow bad habits to creep into your game and then through your whole set?

I am still on G400, maybe time for a new one.

I don't know mate, the LST is rated around 9100 MOI, so to spend that much on another driver for such a minimal gain........not this guy.

I don't buy into this marketing stuff. I'll take lessons, hours of practice and be happy to hit the bloody ball in the middle. That's all I car about, actually. And, oh yes, let me work relentlessly on that short game and putting to achieve a decent game.
