To anyone who has not noticed the importance of colour in their costumes. Deepika is wearing bright red colour outfit while Priyanka is wearing a bit dull violet colour outfit. It basically trying to reflect them as one as “new” and the other one as “old”. It has a metaphorical connection, Deepika’s outfit was chosen this colour to symbolise the new profound love and Priyanka’s outfit symbolises as an old love that got faded. This was explained by my dance teacher to her daughter and then she shared it with me. Its beautiful how colours can be used as a way of communicating.

@@hotboy1648 it's not the saree she's talking about but rather the color ... deepikas palette of colors for her costume are all very fresh and of different pastel shades , which change to darker colors on more important occasions , such as maroon here , when she's attacked and when she's locked in the prison ... whereas priyankas palette is exactly the opposite ... she wears older darker colors like purple ... her palette is completely dark till the very last scene. The only moment where she's wearing a lighter color relatively is when bajirao dies of that fever .... Colors are always used to communicate something or the other . Deepikas colors represent freshness, new love , passion , power etc Priyankas palette represents royalty , old love , repressed nature ( her colors are always muted) etc . That's what OG was trying to say.

Both performed outstandingly well. But you gotta admit, while Deepika danced as herself, Priyanka danced as Kashibai... Kashibai wasn't happily dancing with her husband's lover, she was just being cordial and hospitable for the sake of the festival despite her inner turmoil. Those subtle yet distinct expressions speak so much. 🔥

Intersting that a film is titled Bajirao Mastani and yet it was Kashibai who stood out as the most amazing character.... in fact after mastani's death the real kashibai adopted mastani's son and raised him as her own. She even gave him lands to rule

Yah, I in U.S. so I haven't seen much of Priyanka's Bollywood performances. She is so graceful. She looks effortless but you know she spent hours practicing. Hopefully if she decides to more US films they can find a way to showcase her talent. The costumes are beautiful. I'll have to catch this film.

Anyone who has heart & watch this movie would feel the pain of Kashi when seeing Priyanka in this movie. She just not only acted, but literally lived with the role. Loads and loads of expressions ; She was expressing joy, sorrow, pain, embarrassment, everything so perfectly. Her eyes are speaking and delivering her feelings in every scene more than her lips 😍.Salute Miss world🤘 Gorgeous look ❤. Undoubtedly Kashi's role is the soul of the movie, though the portrayal of the movie is meant for Bajirao & Mastani. P.C you are great 🥰🤗. What an acting!🙄

Honestly I did not care about Bajirao or Mastani when I watched this movie. Kashi was the only character I cared about. Bajirao and Mastani felt like cartoon characters but Kashi felt like a real person.

I couldn't take my eyes off Priyanka 😩 not because she played "kashibai" which was a truly positive character in the movie but because she truly nailed those dance steps, she adapted that Marathi grace so well...her steps were flawless and ofc those expressions were everything 🙌

I can't even take sides. I literally feel the pain of both of these characters. Kashibai & Mastani, both were good human beings, just the victims of fate, so was Bajirao. So the main villain here is their fate, not them.

Please don't simply blame the fate....Yaa...really even bajirao know that he had a wife only waiting for him.....without informing her about his second relationship....he continued for long and brought her as his second wife when she became pregnant........perfect guy......bajirao didn't made any mistakes...And mastani.....she did find her love.....I will appreciate that but I didn't like the way she did.....If she needs to get him and be like a sister to kashibai....then she should first try to make understand kashi about her feelings of love for him ...to kashi....and then marry him on kashibai 's consent....

Both of them slayed! But Priyanka was more graceful here. Deepika appeared a little stiff because of height here but hard work is reflected. Kudos to both. Reminded of Dola re Dola song

Deepika's best performance was in Mohe rang do laal. She's breathtaking there. In Pinga, Priyanka definitely looks more "comfortable". Her moves are quick and full of power. Deepika seems to have problems with keeping the pace. But still, I enjoy this video every time I watch it.

In real history, she did not face betrayal. This movie is based on fiction, not real history. Bollywood have made a lovestory of Jodha n Akbar too. And Salim- Anarkali too. Anarkali never existed in history.
