I didn't really realize it until I listened to it again while editing the video. It slaps in a melancholic way. - I saw that Waters dropped his narrative of Dark Side being solely his project. I read recent interviews where he gave his former bandmates credit, which is nice to see. They definitely deserve it. - I didn't notice until I started reading reviews that Waters used lyrics from “Free Four” at the beginning of the album. I really love that addition. Out of all the annoying spoken-word bits, this instance was my favorite. - This video (kzfaq.info/get/bejne/i7SkjcSouZfNeo0.htmlsi=dftvSDO3aHMu0FMW) was more entertaining to listen to than the redux itself. Take that as you will. All in all, although I will probably never revisit it, I applaud Roger Waters for having the balls to do this redux. As Nick Mason put it, it is “annoyingly brilliant.” New videos in November.

The beginning of Speak to Me is the lyrics to Free Four from Obscured By Clouds. A nice bookend to a 50 year masterpiece. Very hard to understand an 80 year old's point of view until you're almost there. Good review.

This redux would be great with the participation of the PP Arnold and Katie Kisson, Roger could have used her voices for the most part of the songs, tbh at the first time I heard it I didnt like but then I heard it more times and now I like it.

I'll definitely give this version a chance. It deserves a listening, at least once! But this won't never replace the original recording. It's a pity that Roger is run out of voice, it could be a nicer work if he could sing as well as he used to do back in the day. Also, gotta admit that the epic guitar parts removal makes this version even less attractive. However, I am a fan, you know, so I will include this album in my collection.

I really liked Us and Them. It is my fave from the original as well, but I really enjoy this new version as well. I don't like most other songs (with the exception of Brain Damage/Eclipse), but this really stood out for me.

YOu would like the hospital I stayed at recently some how they actually had the tvs using analog tuners in 2023 and the tvs actually said analog if i come again ishould bring a vcr and try it. Some hopsitals can get an MTA adapter but those cost 10,000 dollars.

i wouldnt say there is a superior version at all but this is rogers remake of the classic album, he is THE lyrical genius behind the first one, and its an interesting look into how hes feeling about the same things just at a later age in life because the album is literally just based on life itself imo
