Hey you, out there in the cold Getting lonely, getting old Can you feel me? Hey you, standing in the aisles With itchy feet and fading smiles Can you feel me? Hey you, don't help them to bury the light Don't give in without a fight Hey you out there on your own Sitting naked by the phone Would you touch me? Hey you with you ear against the wall Waiting for someone to call out Would you touch me? Hey you, would you help me to carry the stone? Open your heart, I'm coming home But it was only fantasy The wall was too high As you can see No matter how he tried He could not break free And the worms ate into his brain Hey you, out there on the road Always doing what you're told Can you help me? Hey you, out there beyond the wall Breaking bottles in the hall Can you help me? Hey you, don't tell me there's no hope at all Together we stand, divided we fall

I think you do have the most beautiful first name I've ever read. It doesn't matter to me if a person, name, animal is male or female; "beauty" is what I use to describe anyone or anything I admire, so please don't take offense. I read it "Ome-uh-lay". Is that right or wrong? Is the "H" a hard or soft h? I really do want to know. There is no internet info I can locate regarding this first name, unless your first name is truly Pena "Pen-yuh" and Homaley is your last name? Some cultures do that, I know. If you know anything about your name, would you please tell me? My real first name is "Esther" which means "A Star" and I am not a star :)

Try traveling the world and stay sober. Sydney, hiking in the Dolomites, looking for sea glass on a Malta beach, seeing the Colosseum in Rome, having a lazy afternoon strolling through Rothenburg in Germany, sleeping in your car and hiking in the Vosgese Mountains in France, swimming in the Mediterranean Sea in the South of France, driving through Death Valley in a sand storm, snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef, hanging out in London or Dublin for a few days…. All of this sober and enjoying it to the fullest, not damped down by drugs. It’s amazing and will last a lifetime!

@@OrangeTabbyCat And what does this have to do with pink floyd?
@OrangeTabbyCat3 ай бұрын
@@thelonewolf1894 It has something to do with your comment. You said nothing beats listening to Pink Floyd in a park smoking a joint. And I thing a billion things beat that. I just named a few. No worries. I just hung out with a lot of people un NYC about 40 years ago who did that, park, joints, music. I’ve met some of them three years ago when I visited the city. They’ve been doing that for 40years and I think they’ve lost more than one brain cell. Haven’t seen anything of the world, didn’t have adventures….. just stoned i. The park all the time. It reminded me how grand my life has been so far, ups and downs….

@@OrangeTabbyCat Their 40 years in NYC was possibly every bit as adventurous. Besides, how do you know @thelonewolf1894 didn't do any of these things? He/she just made a friendly, harmless observation.

2021 ... We simply need to return to living. It is truly that easy, if we all get back out there! This is not the first time governments have attempted to oppress the people. May it just be another time for the people to Triumph! They know we can not do that if we are divided.. As Pink Floyd reminds, *"Don't Tell Me There's No Hope At All! Together, We Stand. Divided, We Fall."*

Pink Floyd is the best concert I’ve ever been to. We were on the 3rd roll, and if you looked back it was such a great light show!!!! I’ve seen the eagles a couple times. And we had seats up front, they were great. But no one else even comes close to Pink Floyd!!!!

(1979) still listening on Dec 27, 2019. Pink Floyd has always been one of my Favorite 🤟🤘✌️Rock Groups. I thought of this song as "Spiritual." I started Dancing & listening to Rock as a child- teen at Home. I loved😍 Music especially the Fast Beats & Notes. I've always been the Hip & Party Dancy Type. I like Fun. I got out of my comfort zone to listen to other Talents to escape the Hood Life. I wasn't always Interested in just "Rap Music." I was in a Chicago, IL School Band myself. Soft Rock & Heavy Metal Rock was my "Personal Likings" in the Westside Hood of Chicago IL. Thanks, Stay Blessed! 😇🌈♥️💯⭐

Totally different band than Led Zeppelin. People who are fans of one seem to be fans of the other, but it seems like comparing apples and oranges to me.

But all of them are good. They all have their own vibe, that one cannot really imitate. Like Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds has a different feel then Learning to Fly, or Break on Through, or Going to California. You feel me?

As much as i love pink floyd but c'mon.... The stairway to heaven... Besides there's no comparison here they're all in different genres The only thing you need to be comparing is music back then and what people seem to call "music" nowadays

Pink Floyd is relevant to this day, and I'm a daughter of 1983. The Wall album holds a place in my heart as it's my Floydian introduction, my three older brothers had me, at around seven or eight watch this film. It's one of the reasons I wanted a guitar, didn't get one until I was 25, but this was a gateway into musical inclination. Started with flute, then keyboard and later drums. Now bass, vocals and guitar. I'm eclectic, and enjoy everything classic and modern, including rap and hip-hop, of which Pink Floyd's genius lyrics helped in my songcraft.
