Who needs drugs when you have Pink Floyd? Love from India. I used to listen to this every time I smoked some weed, it took me places I cannot explain. This track holds a special place in my heart and I have listened to it over hundreds of times and every time it gave me a different experience. I just cannot explain how good it is.

Seems like it was only yesterday when I line up to buy Division Bell on the Easter long weekend. This was my favourite track to listen to on my discman when catching the train to Uni. It takes you to another place. Can’t believe it’s 30 years already. And to think 30 years before that would have been ‘64. Amazing how much music progressed in those 30 years, and stagnated in the last 30 years. After organising photo slide shows and music for too many funerals, I have decided this will be my departure song when the time comes.

Absolute masterpiece. One of my favourite Pink Floyd songs of all time. It teleports me back to a very special time in my life. I was younger, new to the adult life, smoking a little weed every now and then, and blown away by the sound of Gilmour's guitar. No matter how often I listen to this song, it will always have a very special place in my heart. I cannot express how much this song, and quite frankly Gilmour's sound in general means to me. I will forever cherish the music the group made for there is no other band like this. Thank you for making the world a better place.💙

My best friends favorite all time band was Pink Floyd. His name was Brad. He played the guitar and was part of a band! They got a record deal, but it was a really small one at the time and they didn't offer much money. I won't go into what a mistake that was. Tragically in 2015, at 28 years old, he overdosed on pills and died. He was engaged and had an 18 month old daughter. ❤❤

More demonstrable proof that Dave, Rick and Nick didn't NEED Roger to make awesome music. This masterpiece is FAR better than ANYTHING Waters ever recorded after he left Pink Floyd.

Agreed. What Roger brought was brilliant lyrics and vision. But musically, Dave and Rick were the powerhouses of the band. Marooned is really a dance - the last great dance - of Rick and Dave. One of my all time favorites.

Music - 100%, songs not as much. I’ll be hard-pressed to find a song of Roger’s that I dislike lyrically, but Dave is more hit-and-miss. I say this as a passionate Gilmour guy. I adore (almost worship) his guitar playing, but there’s no way in hell Animals (some of Dave’s most ferocious work) or even The Final Cut would hit as hard without Roger’s directive. It’s a shame it turned out so destructive though, it always pains me think about..

The idea of Dark side of the Moon would have never existed without Roger. State the obvious the Wall too. I think David & Rick would of probably put the Wish You Were Here Album without Roger but of course the song itself is Rogers lyrics which are some of the best he wrote.
