For such an underlooked PF album, they really made a great trance disc out of it.

I bought some boxes of albums for $5.00 U.S. in high school at a garage sale. Over 70 albums. The lady didn't know anything about her son's music and asked if I might like some of it to buy since he'd passed away. I stopped hoping I could afford his stereo. I took out a lot of albums trying to decide which ones to buy. Obscured by clouds and earlier Pink Floyd he'd bought overseas while in the military I'd never heard of. She floored me when she asked if 5 bucks was too much for ALL the albums. When I loaded the boxes in my folks car she asked me who Roger Waters was and why he killed Syd and I told her he didn't kill Syd then she told me her son thought Roger was trying to kill him too when he wrote the movie album. (The Wall). He had PTSD from Viet Nam, took his hunting knife the Album and the movie. The movie was brand new the night he watched it, destroyed it then took his own life. I still love Pink Floyd I rarely listen to the albums I bought that day. Still feel awful she wouldn't take more money for those albums. Still wish I'd never stopped at the garage sale and still can't believe Detroit radio stations weren't playing a lot of the Pink Floyd I discovered that day along with so much more music on all those albums! Her son didn't drink alcohol or do drugs only smoked tobacco and wasn't on any psychiatric medications. She said he spent a lot of time listening to his music when he didn't feel well which helped him feel better after a stressful day. When she asked me what the movie was about I lied and said I didn't know to spare her more pain than she was already in. She invited me back to take the rest of his album collection but I couldn't do it man! These really are great remixes! And this is one of their most underrated albums ever. Too progressive of a bad for their time. Didn't really fit any format, recording times were too long...If only the music industry didn't keep Pink Floyd and all the rest of the legendary greats on those leashes...could you just imagine how much better music would be now?

@@yetisquatch5132 wow that story is crazy asf that movie definitely is disturbing and i cant imagine how a dude with PTSD would feel watching it considering he must’ve felt so overwhelmed with melancholy that he had to kill himself but yo sidenote: music is great now, learn how to find good music cuz it aint on the radio nowadays that the only problem u needa be an avant-garde music listener to be able to find all this underground shit it was too easy for yall to find that stuff during that era the difference is now its more kept under wraps which in turn actually makes it better because its rare i hate to see people lose hope in the fact that music is still good
