The first 5ish minutes of this song is the one of the best pieces of music ever written. So much soul and emotion in Gilmour's guitar playing. I listen to it over and over again. My eyes well up and I get chills every time. The rest of the song is great too, but I really love the first 5 minutes before the lyrics start.

I grew up listen to pink floyd all day long because of my parents, that was such of a blessing to my music! Gilmour is an amazing guitar player, he is not about go up and down scales at thousands of miles per hour, he is about play with feeling, creating emotion in whoever listen to his music. Shine On You Crazy Diamond is such as a classic that everybody in the world should know this!

I saw pink Floyd with several of my friends and we enjoyed it highly. We were 8 of a crowd of over 50,000 people's. I had never seen such crowd. Little kids to 80 year olds and possibly even older all enjoying the great music. I would save my vacation days to attend events like this. As soon as I learned of a concert like this I'd put in for the days. It often was early enough that they would never deny the days.
