Great one. I am a big Syd and Floyd fan. This was amazing. With Golden Hear it looks like you used a Syd tribute band instead of Pink Floyd. I loved the solo parts of David in Terrapin. Every song was uplifted by you in my opinion. Great job ♥️🎶🎉🙏
@progessiverockstories3 жыл бұрын
The Golden Hair used here is infact the Syd Original with a tribute band slightly hidden underneath it. I then added a little Floyd (From Pompeii) to help blend it together. There are lots of little tribute band pieces here and there, too many to list individually. It's pretty much 90% original Floyd & Barrett. I really liked hearing Syd and Dave duet on Terrapin myself. There are a few edits I'd change and I'm still not 100% happy with the cover.

Excelente, excelente y excelente.

I heard a very RARE Floyd song on a college FM radio station. I was taken back by this song because it was upbeat even though it had that pop-psych sound. It was sung by Rick and was around 6 minutes long. It was an early release that featured a renissance - like organ melody and a trippy middle 8 guitar solo that sounded like the one from "Interstellar Overdrive ". The lyrics were of someone reminiscing about a past love with movements still "flowing in his mind ". Does any song title for this tune come to mind?

yeah get what ya saying about the mixing n cutting (im an old hip hop hed) just thought it would be better to cut n mix at better points but the actual mixing was spot on in fact it was amazing in places some of it blew me away, you should have pointed out which track dave n syd were singing on i hadn't noticed iknow dave produced the album anyway do some more.
@markhall423 жыл бұрын
as the biggest floyd fan in the galaxy may i say oh baby that this is exellent but with many flaws, like why cut off the climax of let there be more light were the sorcerer glowing slightly from his toes, psychic ementions flow thats the high point of the song, earlier the mother ship descending on a pointed flame makes contact with the human race at maiden hall then later in the song the being reveals himself as an acient alien with mystical powers possibly controller of the human race (giving birth to the illuminati bloodline and now now now is the time time time to be be be aware of our ancient heritage to those of us who could open our 3rd eye wide enough with LSD all this stuff became apperant. So glad you included vegetable man and scream thy last scream this is the time when syd is becoming a sorcerer but doesn't have the discipline cos he loves anarchy so he derails in a horrific train crash left all broken up but his unruly psychicpowersstill allow him to play games with people. love what you did inbetween tracks and so glad you included julia dream after syds its possibly my favourite track but again you cut it off at the climax of the song its like being pulled off your girlfreind just as your about to explode with orgasm! why incude Terrapin its the worst thing he ever did u could of put "no good tryng" or wolfpack or dominoes or octopuss the true version with soft machine they put the wrong mix on the album the idea with madcap was that softmachine were to replace pink floyd it wasn't meant to be a solo album but they fukt up as usual and made syd look weak anyway you should do a few more of these not cutting stuff off and using syds other albums like the one with birdy hop that LPs also got the proper octopuss.

oh and put embryo on one of them best post syd song yet strangely unreleased cept on bootlegs. people must get confused with echoes good but half as good and ther are umpteen bootleg versions to chose from from 7mns to over15 mns ironicaly the shorter ones tend to be better but it was a big part of there live set from 68 -72 so the versions differ a lot.
@progessiverockstories3 жыл бұрын
Man, that is some review! I get what you're saying but the point of these remixes is to present fans with something different. This is why tracks sometimes unexpectedly cut or fade away at different times. Expect the unexpected...... this was Floyd's motto after all?! The reason Terrapin was used is that I had a version of Gilmour singing it and thought it would be cool to mix that and the original together, to make it sound like Dave and Syd are signing together. I agree, all of these mixes I do could be improved, but I would honestly listen to this mix again over the original saucerful album any day. 'Scream' and 'Vegetable Man' are FAR superior tracks to 'See-Saw' and 'Corporal Clegg'. Also, check out the other Floyd album mix I have called 'The Embryo' (an alternative 69-70 album), I'd love to hear what you think.
