Man, I love this song. One of the more underrated songs off "The Wall". Always thought it could have been released as a single, it has that pop quality to it, without that being meant as a bad thing of course. I guess they didn't want people to listen to it out of context and think the lyrics are as shallow as they seem. On a different note, no pun intended, I really like the backing vocals during Dave's solo that are added on live version, the "ooo-aaah"s, if that makes any sense XD

Not sure Wright is there. Never shows him. Think he was out of the band at this point.
@randomcamera746 Жыл бұрын
@@norwegianzound Wright was still a paid session musician for The Wall Live, and fans didn't really find out he was fired until the release of The Final Cut in 1983, where his name was nowhere to be found in the album's credits.

If you can’t appreciate that this song this band is the best, tied with Queen, then you have no soul, no conscious of the human condition connected through notes, beats, sounds, that lift to the heavens and beyond, it’s an experience every damn time, I’m in the heavens floating, where are you?

I gave the "is there anybody out there?" version of the wall a listen just yesterday and young lust comes from the same audio source because the way Rog says "this is called young lust" is the exact same. then again maybe you meant audio *quality*

You know, for two guys who will go to their graves hating one another, David and Roger created masterpieces as a team. Love seeing this old concert footage of the band together. I want more.

The seemingly intimate moment of the sharing of the microphone makes you wonder if Gilmore ever entertained the thought of giving Waters a sharp uppercut to the chin.

One of their best jams ever in my opinion. Was a DJ in burlesque clubs in Houston in the 80s and this tune guaranteed the right body moves from a hottie on the stage. Money maker it was. Gilmour is a badass
