0:24 It's heartwarming to know that Len cared so much about Mary that he could overcome the fear of getting out of his house. He saved the day, and also Mary's life.

I feel like this movie perfectly captures what it’s like to finally decided you’re going to “do it”. It’s not planned out, most of the time; one day, you simply look at a bottle of pills and realize that “today’s the day”. This has happened to me literally countless times. I wish I’d remembered this film when they had, maybe I would’ve thought twice.

Me too. It never really goes away. Even when you're happy, it never truly goes away. I see a lot of myself in Mary. Plain, unpopular, alone. I can't do anything right. Not even kill myself.

This comment rocked me hard... because I have been there... and so had my uncle. One day I narrowed my options, but came through by grace if God himself. But my uncle one day found himself alone and... decided it was time.... If anyone reads this and you are in a bad spot- please. Please think against it. Life gets better. It does. Just give it a chance- it’s dark now, but it’s true what they say- the sun will come up again. There is always a better day.

It’s interesting how Que Sera Sera can be sung two different ways. Doris Day originally sung it as a lullaby for her son in The Man Who Knew Too Much and it’s this rather light gentle song even though the lyrics have more substance to them than what’s being conveyed. But if you sing it slowly it becomes this depressing dirge of a song and it’s very clear that the person singing this has a lot of regrets in their life!

Love the video, it so captures the nature of this song. I always thought that Dorris Day was on happy pills when she did her version, too light and fluffy. The Pink Martini version is so much better, it captures the question in the song. The only thing that I could wish for is that the whole of the Pink Martini version was in the video. But then I stopped and thought about it... And in the end I didn't do it... Anyways it probably wouldn't have worked either way...
