When I first watched this movie as a kid I got so pissed that the this was the only part of the movie that was animated and that the rest of it wasn't a cartoon. Like seriously, MGM, way to throw little kids off. I mean obviously I'm over it now but back then it was like some kind of unspeakably evil crime

Lol, was from 1963, if you have only seen the Steve Martin film, you need to watch the original PP films. On monday it's the movies 60th anniversary, so I know What I'm gonna watch that evening. P.S. The video played here is from the revival of the Pink Panther franchise, starring Steve Martin as inspector Clouseau. I like Steve Martin, but ever believing that anyone could imitate Peter Sellers is sad. They should have made Martin play Closeau's impossible cousin, or so, not Clouseau himself.

I once went to a concert where Pink Panther was played on a sax. I loved it so much I decided to go to music school. I've been playing it for over 6 years now and I have played Pink Panther on a concert myself. If it wasn't for this song I wouldn't have got this awesome instrument.

Seeing so many pink panther fans here made me smile a bit. And yet we never had any more animated pink panther cartoons for about 13 years now at this point, while both old and new cartoons (gumball and Looney tunes) get a lot of continuous content.
