No, the law is 500 gram of gold without paying tax for it. You can definitely keep more gold than 500 g as long as u have paid the tax for it.

No its not against the law if you are paying the tax accordingly....and there is not such hard and fast rule till now because all the gold jewellers are purchased by paying all govt. taxes

Not going to lie I thought finally someone in the same social class but the sets are very tacky. Not elegant at all. If you want such heavy jewellery at least make it im antique or temple design with gehri work. This just looks like you guys just made money and trying to show specially the first set. You can have the same weight jewellery in half the size of you get temple.
