In the early days of Sak Yant for me! Ajarn Thoy applying a "Pit Da"!

It is red ink. It hurts more than a machine tattoo. The pain is different and I think easier to bear then a machine tattoo. It is very quick compared to machine, so it hurts for a much shorter time! When he was pressing it, it did not hurt at all. This one was a ling time ago though!

When I go to Thailand this is something I will get, ive got a few tattoos but none done in this style.

Was that red ink he was using or just blood? Also how much did it hurt (compared to a normal tattoo), especially at the end when he was pressing on it?

I work with a bunch of guys from Laos. I just got a regular machine tattoo recently and I was cleaning it. My friend walked passed and started telling me about his. He went and grabbed my other coworker and they both showed me their SakYant. They said they don't show people because they lose power that way, but showed me because I'm their friend and they trust me. They had some amazing pieces, each with their own powers. I was very honored for them to take the time to show me and explain them to me. I'd very much like to get some done as well, for protection and victory.

+JakeTheRipper 73 it is fine to get a sak yant, as so long you uphold the five precepts , be an upright man , do meritorious(spelled it wrongly) deeds and last of all, chant your kata for the sak yant at least once a week. with all these done, protection from the sak yant and your Dharma Protectors are guaranteed.

Yes, he can see fine. It's the same as if you were wearing a bandana over your eyes. He's not looking straight on, he's looking downwards where he's tattooing.

I actually used to think the same as you until one day I walked in to get an amulet blessed while he was wearing it, he had his head tilted down and there was 100% no way that he could see me from under the mask, then he pointed to me and asked me to come forward before the other people in the room because it was a quick job for him to do. From that day, I knew it was not an act. There will always be people who don't believe but it is up to every individual to believe or not! But thanks for your comment. I'm happy that you watched it!

Pinky BuaChompoo You Can see under the mask. I too am tattoo artist and can make Sak Yant and i have tried it with the Lersi Por gae Mask on.You just look down thats all. its quite easy to see the tattoo and the needle with the mask on especially with this 3/4 Mask Bro. I spent 2 years sat watching Ajarn Thoy work, and was making Sak Yant for ten years before i met him but never tried it with the mask on until he got me curious.. you CAN see with the mask on just look down at your nose thats all. There is only one way to accurately make Sak Yant, and that is by seeing what you are doing. It is not possible for humans nor for Devas to make a Sak Yant with the eyes closed.. to believe such a thing (and yes i once believed such a thing too - you live and learn), is to believe something that is not true. Its not possible bro to make the Yant without seeing as you work.

+Thailand Amulets is it possible that Lersi Por Gae went into ajahn Thoy's body to do the sak yant? if it's just ajahn Thoy himself doing the sak yant, why must he wear the mask to do it ? Other famous sak yant masters like Ajahn Tong of Taladphlu doesn't need to wear a mask to do sak yant. and not to mention ajahn Thoy Dabos is a Lersi as well. please advise brother. sadhu sadhu sadhu

I think these days u can ask for a clean needle and new ink but back when I first started seeing him, it was straight from one person into the next. I still do it that way.
