9 ай бұрынToday guys we are walking & driving around the Pinnacles Desert in Western Australia brought to you in 4K
The Pinnacles are limestone formations within Nambung National Park, near the town of Cervantes, Western Australia
The area contains thousands of weathered limestone pillars. Some of the tallest pinnacles reach heights of up to 3.5 m above the yellow sand base. The different types of formations include ones which are much taller than they are wide and resemble columns-suggesting the name of Pinnacles-while others are only a meter or so in height and width resembling short tombstones. A cross-bedding structure can be observed in many pinnacles where the angle of deposited sand changed suddenly due to changes in prevailing winds during formation of the limestone beds. Pinnacles with tops similar to mushrooms are created when the calcrete capping is harder than the limestone layer below it. The relatively softer lower layers weather and erode at a faster rate than the top layer leaving behind more material at the top of the pinnacle

Yea its really nice, had to do that walk now b4 the summer kicks in, it will be mid 40's during the summer and very uncomfortable to walk in that desert then, i have another desert walk coming soon where the sand is white, its amazing, i am just waiting on my ND filters for the Gopro, Hope you feel better and hope ya have an amzing weekend my friend

@City-Tours-Jonathan-Lewie England is never as green as your home country, though. Australia is somewhere I've never been. But definitely on the bucket list. It is starting to get really boggy in the Peaks. It will be a frozen but boggy area soon, but at least it will keep away the sightseers and leave it for the Trig hunters 😂. I hope you are having a great week.
