In today's video, we'll compare two popular pinpointers: the Minelab Pro-Find pointer and the Garrett Pro pointer. To give you an idea, the Minelab Pro-Finder pinpointer is very sensitive and will sound off even at the tiniest speck of metals. On the hand, the Garrett Pro pinpointer is also sensitive and is waterproof so it can detect even in bodies of water.

Shame you didn't read the minelab instructions as it has several levels of sensitivity & I'm thinking you were on the weakest one. RTFM (read the *# manual) and do test again.

Yes exactly what I was thinking. I think out of the box it's only on the second out of 6 so maybe it could have done 2x or 3x better than this test

Had an issue with the minelab 15 but found out the problem.. It was the connection between the battery and metal contacts. I just out some paper between and now it works. Hope this helps someone out there. ❤

You should probably read the instructions…the pro find 35 has settings and would beat it

by the box it's the 15 and not the 35 he used, look at the side in 0:40

I've had both but now use the fisher f-pulse and nothing else compares. But between these two Is definitely the garrett always had problems with the minelab pro-find 35 and I had two of them

Does your F-Pulse still work? I just returned my 3rd Fisher F-pulse. Long story but there was only 1 store locally that carried the F-Pulse. Bought my first F-Pulse LOVED IT but about 3 weeks later it developed a screech & was dead the next day. (never submerged & I baby all my equipment) I thought maybe I got a bad one so I drove the hour to Canadian Tire to replace it. I meant to test it there but forgot batteries. Get home & turn it on, first test... death screech. (I recorded it all) but I wasn't driving an hour back so I figure I'll use it till it dies. It was hinky but lasted a couple weeks & something let loose inside you could hear it rattling around so back to Canadian Tire an hour away & replace it AGAIN. This time I try it in store & sure enough death screech but I didn't have a whole lot of options if I didn't want to lose my day of detecting... There was nothing else in stock to replace it with. Still lasted a couple weeks but died today. I know how it sounds to have gone through 3 F-pulses but I took video of the screech right out of the box & they really were babied but the boxes were really faded so they had been sitting quite awhile. Aaanyways... sorry for the novel I ended up venting a bit but yeah curious is yours is still going strong or if anyone else on here has had similar issues with the death screech?

if your treasure hunting parks and beaches the garret carrot is miles better but on a table test thay seam to be about the same i have two pro finds because i though the first one was dodgy but second was exactly the same.

You Didn't use any other sensitivity levels on Minelab Pinpointer...There are 6 different levels...Or why do you think there has 2 other buttoms + and - ?

Refined gold is a little different in response compared to gold ore, like a nugget!

Seriously. At least say what model you are testing. A pro find 35 will be as good as the garret. It also depends on what settings it’s on. The pro find 35 also has iron discrimination. Maybe it’s worth reading the instructions. Ps I’m not saying it’s better than the Garret.
