Tom, you can ctrl+click on the names of the bridges on the list that were valid and then once they’re all open in separate tabs, go through the separate tabs. You can navigate tabs with ctrl+tab, close them with ctrl+W, open new ones with ctrl+T and go to the search bar with ctrl+L. You can also directly search up the names of the bridges by highlighting the name, right clicking and then clicking “search in new tab”. These could drastically improve your workflow.

But I eventually found where it was. The second one I was convinced it was in america and ended up giving up because I didnt recognise any of the buildings or scenery.

When you zoomed in on the second picture I said Edinburgh!! and almost jumped up! For me it was the combination of Edinburgh castle and the steeple of St. Guile’s Cathedral on the Royal Mile! I think it was 2015 when I was there. Pretty cool place and worth the effort if you’re visiting the UK.

I paused at the start of the video on the photo to have a go myself.. after finding it (probably 40 mins later) and pressing play it was funny to watch you then proceeded to complete a total carbon copy of my effort!. Including the first bridge which I spent way too long on as I was sure it was it!, then was confused by the new steps too.. only difference was I found the bridge just off a google image search of USA truss bridges and it was on a Flickr/ tumblr blog. Fun!, look forward to the next one, a damn sight harder than the Edinburgh one by the looks of it!. I might start it now with a few days head start 😅

For the bridge one my first guess was New Orleans. The Mississippi River is pretty amazing when you think about it.

Quick tip when searching in the US and Canada that would have made your New Orleans guess much quicker: some jurisdictions only require vehicle number plates on the back of cars (20 US states including most of the US southeast and most Canadian provinces), whereas the others (most of the American west, most of the American northeast, and the Canadian provinces of Manitoba, Ontario, and BC) require plates on both the front and back of cars. In the New Orleans photo, none of the vehicles had front number plates which automatically ruled out a majority of US states and made me look to port cities in the American south. Referencing which jurisdictions do and don't require front plates could have saved quite a bit of time while reading through the bridge list.

When you copy and paste something into Google to search it, there's an easier way to go around that: instead of clicking "Copy", you go down a bit and click "Search Google for ___". That way you don't have to manually open a new tab and paste it in each time!

I've hiked up to Arthur's seat a few times. We didn't take the path, but went cross-country each time to climb up the sides. Soon as I saw the pic, I was pretty sure I knew where it was just based on topography (and then the city background clinched it).

Ankhen Pyari Hain - Ye Hai Jalwa was filmed in Edinburgh. The picture vaguely seemed familiar. It's amazing how quickly he spotted it .

Amazingly enough, I have been to both the locations in this video, and almost to the exact spots! So I shouted them out straight away. For once I get to feel like I know geography when watching Tom!

For anyone going through a big list like the bridges, an easy technique is to ctrl/cmd-click all of the links first so you get a tab for each, then you just close them as you rule them out. Much quicker and means you don’t need to worry about losing your spot.

Regarding how you mark the text, then copy and paste to a new tab to google: you should be able to simply mark it, then click and hold the selected text and drag it to where you would usually open a new tab. Just in case you didn't know :)
